La Villa Strangiato (Rush Guitar Cover) by James Lighter

A short homage to the drummer from one of my most influential bands. 

I was listening to Snakes and Arrows Live today and heard this section. It was so somber and ethereal, I kept thinking how cool it would be to play Rush riffs in the same key as Neil's synth notes.

I've been experiencing wrist and elbow tendonitis pain and guitar playing sessions have been few and far between lately. It kind of felt like the knowledge of possible upcoming pain due to playing is why this solo section sounds so sad in the first place when Neil played it - so I kind of felt that sentiment when recording and it was really a cool experience even though its not perfect and there are some mistakes.

Hope you enjoy, and think of Neil today and every day because his music will stand the test of time.
