FRANK! is a four-piece alternative rock band based in Cebu City. They have released an EP entitled Tripped-out in 1999 and a full-length album entitled Drink, drama, dream in 2003. The band was formed in 1996 and have gained underground popularity in Cebu and Manila. They have toured all over the countryas far as Baguio in the north and Davao in the south. They have played in major venues like the Folk Arts Theatre and played with major Filipino acts. FRANK! also won Band of the Year in the 2001 SMB Music Awards.

Twenty one years in the music circuit, off and on, has not mellowed the band. They still sound as belligerent as punks, with a light coating of jaded sophistication. “Pretty Loser” has the snappy drumbeat, edgy guitars and snarky lyrics that one has come to expect from SATI. It’s their version of an “ode to unrequited love,” but one could also interpret it as giving unrequited love the middle finger.
