Long set for a very long summer ~!! Almost 3 hours of steamy hawt music played almost exclusively at the Monkey Loft for Shameless' Deck'd Out rooftop party and our Friday monthly, the Social.  Thank you to everyone that came to support during such an intense and strenuous time. I hope this and other Shameless' DJ sets will help get you through to the next season of sunshine. "Mr. Linden is the alias of Jeremy Linden, an Alaska-raised, Seattle-based DJ, designer, and producer who's an integral part of the local underground electronic music community. His childhood dream of becoming a DJ was achieved when he became involved in college radio, yet it was Alaska's surprisingly healthy rave scene that fueled his desire to DJ live at parties, and this passion has burned bright ever since. A mix from November 2016, which needed a little fixing. I remember walking around stoned in West End Vancouver, listening to this in the misty rains.

This was the precursor to the Psychedelic Love Affair series, with all of those trippy musical ideas bubbling up, but I didn't have the concept or words yet. So, I'm thinking of it as Psychedelic Love Affair 0.5. I added a couple fixes to the mix to areas that have always bothered me, retouching an otherwise exceptional journey. The results are pretty euphoric.

I hope you enjoy this mix as much as I have. It's a secret favorite, and I'm delighted to share it, burnished to greater glory.

I was born an audiophile and have always been listening. When I was a young boy my safety blanket was a pair of old headphones and a gain knob within reach during nap times and still is after over four decades today. Theres nothing more comforting than sub sonic bass frequencies and a bouncing mid range sprinkled with a melodic high end to soothe any and every emotion. When it comes to music and audio in general, it has a way of carrying us off and elevating our spirits every single time we close our eyes and just listen. Tribal rhythm and drums is where it all started for me growing up as a local northwest native american. My tribal roots run deep and I incorporate my heritage into every set I play by layering in ethnomusic percussion, in a sense grounding my sound back to where it all began for me as a child. I am a fan of trippy, weird, spacey sounds and thats probably why I love sound design so much. Every chance I get, I am going to create a soundscape that takes you on an emotional and spiritual journey. I play music in hopes to make an immediate connection with my listener and help them to find ways to make a deeper connection within themselves. Music is my weapon against all of the chaos and animosity in this world that we live in. I hope to only elevate you while you give me your ears.
