Top Shelf Sets

My DJ set at Ozora Festival 2023 Pumpui Stage, Sunday evening, the closing night of the festival. I started right when the main stage was closing and played before Modus who played before SFX aka Astral Projection. Went really well and i got very good feedback, in the beginning there was a crowd of a few hundred people dancing which grew and grew until the end to a few thousands. The atmosphere was absolutely electric and i received a lot of appreciation from many people, i still feel the vibe and the emotions in my body and still processing what happened there that day. Was a memorable one! The mix starts with a dark-ish more classical zenonesque sound, but then goes deeper and deeper and deeper, gradually introducing melodies, trance inducing atmospheres, tribal elements, psychedelic twists, intelligent percussions, acid sounds, modern grooves, irresistible rhythms, slowly changing the style until the end. It's psytrance that doesn't sound like the usual psytrance, sounds techno-ish but it's not techno, seems progressive but it's not quite progressive, and even has some goa influences. The guest mix in the second hour is by Angie Alfarez, an amazing young techno DJ / Producer from Amsterdam who’s currently taking the techno scene by storm. Her style blurs the boundaries between traditional Techno, Trance and Hard Techno with choppy basslines, emotional melodies and powerful drums. She also hosts a weekly radio show called “Angie Alfarez presents Friday Techno Radio” on Beats2dance. Her latest track “The Sound of the Underground” was released by Ballistic Records in March 2024.
