Trying to capture that feeling of being surrounded by people but still being alone with your thoughts during a morning commute. Another little experimentation with jazz solos but in a more electronic way this time. Enjoy!

Anomalie & Chromeo - "Bend The Rules" (Neon NiteClub Remix)

Another remix I did this year was for Anomalie and Chromeo's "Bend the rules" EP remix competition. This one was so much fun to do. My approach typically is to reharmonize just listening to the vocal and loading up my favorite piano or Rhodes instrument. This one is no different and I'm quite pleased with the end result as a funky / jazzy track quite different from the original.

It's quite apparent that I'm heavily influenced by Anomalie both in harmonies and sonically. Although I didn't win the competition I'm happy it was shortlisted for the livestream with feedback from both Chromeo and Anomalie.
