You know when you hear a track and immediately love it? This one here is one of those 💜

Our good friend @hexset has crafted something super beautiful. A sci-fi inspired, deep, melodic 2-stepper that carries a mystical feel from start to finish.

This one is a perfect set opener or transition tune into the techy side of things. The DELICATE, spacey harps paired up with the intergalactic synth that bounces around - perfect stuff 

Hexxem is a name to follow and watch out for. Born and raised in Dublin, now living in Berlin, yer man’s musical knowledge goes DEEP and the rate his production is elevating is mad impressive. Like a lot of us, he grew up shaped by Channel U and MTV Base, favouring grime and garage. The U.K. flavour and raw energy those channels pushed at the time really seeps through into his productions. We can’t wait to hear more 💥

Premiere: DJ Deep Heat ‘Fly Away’

Reasons To Dance enters the label-sphere with its first release SUNROOM001. Kicking off with a various artist compilation, Reasons To Dance aims to provide an up-beat take on today’s forward thinking dance music. The release set its sights on the meeting point of rhythmic weirdness and uplifting sound design, without taking itself too seriously.

Dåser’s Salt Rock kicks us off with lush, syncopated pads, heavy dub tinged drums and bright sound design twisting from one ear to the other. A hard to define 140 rumbler,towing the line between playful in-your-face-ness and club heavy percussion. Dundalk native Lauerince Kapinga follows up with a synthy gem KoraKoraa’s with a triumphant arpeggiated synth line that flutters in between laidback drums, creating truly joyful dance music. Glimmerman is up next with ‘Cirlcuar South’, a tripped out percussion exercise filled with warm, textured pads.

Next up is label co-founder Fionn with the futuristic, techy leaning Pamp. Meandering low end and glitched out percussion combine in a burst of dance floor energy. St. Amp’s, Lyra Pad slows it down with a modern dancehall chugger, filled with lush 80’s inspired sound design. Safedose throws us a UKG curveball with SD001. The pairings production debut bounces along a heavily 2-step inspired beat, chock full of vocal chops nand synthy stabs. LOU takes us down a progressive wormhole with Channelling Enchantment. Eyes closed, early morning type beat. SPOOKLET finishes off strong with a Juke tipped emotional banger. SPOOKLET’s own vocals take center stage, with choir-like backing vocals and glitched out percussion rounding off the comp nicely.
