Corrected me if I'm wrong but I sense that there is a beautiful folk music origin at the heart of this one. Your melodies are so alluring especially with your elegant and gentle voice. The lyrics are so relatable too

Released in 1984 as the lead single from their album "Ocean Rain," the song has since become one of the band's most beloved and iconic tracks. With its ethereal atmosphere and poetic lyrics, "Killing Moon" captures Echo and the Bunnymen's sound and left an indelible mark on the music landscape

Formed in Liverpool, England, in 1978, Echo and the Bunnymen quickly rose to prominence in the post-punk era with their unique blend of dark, introspective lyrics and melodic rock. The band was founded by Ian McCulloch (vocals), Will Sergeant (guitar), and Les Pattinson (bass), and were later joined by Pete de Freitas (drums). Their music drew inspiration from a variety of sources, including The Velvet Underground, David Bowie, and The Doors. Their sound is simultaneously moody and anthemic

Legend has it that their drummer, Pete de Freitas, named their drum machine "Echo" because he believed it would confuse their rivals. The idea was that whenever other bands would talk about Echo and the Bunnymen, they wouldn't know whether it referred to the band as a whole or just their drum machine. The song should be played to a drum machine for 1980s authenticity, 124 bpm

"Killing Moon" gained renewed attention in popular culture when it was prominently featured in the 2001 cult film "Donnie Darko." The song plays during a crucial sequence in the movie, adding a sense of mystery and intensity to the scene. Its inclusion in the film introduced a new generation to Echo and the Bunnymen and solidified "Killing Moon" as a timeless classic

This is a Guillaume de Machaut, Messe de Nostre Dame remix with original composition.  Guillaume de Machaut (c. 1300–1377), a French composer and poet, composed this piece before 1365. Widely regarded as one of the masterpieces of medieval music, Machaut composed this Mass for the Cathedral of Notre-Dame at Reims.

This is a dedication to all the incredible cathedrals around the world that stand as some of the world's greatest achievements of art and architecture; whether you are believer in religion or a non-believer.  The ancient cathedrals of England, of Northern France, Belgium, Spain, Portugal, Germany and Sicily, the Baroque cathedrals of South America, and many individual cathedrals from Italy and other parts of Europe, are among the largest and finest buildings.  Many are renowned for their architecture or their decorative features such as sculpture, stained glass and frescos.

Many cathedrals, because of their large size and the fact that they often have towers, spires or domes, have until the 20th century, been the major landmarks in cities or in views across the countryside. 
Because many cathedrals took centuries to build and decorate, they constitute a major artistic investment for the city in which they stand. Not only may the building itself be architecturally significant, but often houses treasures such as stained glass, stone and wood statues, historic tombs, richly carved furniture and objects of both artistic and religious significance. Moreover, the cathedral often plays a major role in telling the story of the town, through its plaques, inscriptions, tombs, stained glass and paintings.

As with so many of us, career and family became the priority and I stopped writing over a 30 year period. Now I’ve retired, I’ve finally got time to write and record again and I love it!
