The first trip out in the camper after a long rest in the back garden. It performed well apart from some water  issues and two leaking tyre valves. The first night was in Bude, a small fishing village protected by a breakwater. Our next port of call was Lands End the most Westerly point on the mainland for where the wind hit hard on another costal trek towards Sennen Cove. Along our travels we visited The Minack Theatre which is carved out of the cliff face to give possibly the most epic background of any theatre.  Cornwall is full of ancient Druidic monoliths  Mên-an-Tol being one except unusually ringed with supposed healing qualities if one climbs through the circle.  We then descended to Marzion where we continued to be battered by the winds. This didn’t seem to deter the skilled wind/kite surfers who relish such opportunities. Across the water a short way is Saint Michael Mount a medieval monastery and Castle perched on top of an island that is accessible by foot at low tide. On our way home we stopped at Dartmoor to visit the Great Staple Tor. After about a 20 min climb we reached the granite rock on top of the hill and the amazing view of Devon unfolded around us. This windy trip to Cornwall/Devon inspired me to make this music.

Bude

This track is called Canadian Seashore becasue of the instrument Canadian keys & Seashore synth. It was probablly the first track I made in Ableton that came together well and clicked. It uses only 3 main instruments with effects like reverb, modulators, fillters etc. I made it for a video that I was producing about the magic hour on one of my favorite beaches.

Serenity

On a trip to the Himalayas I found myself  at a real crossroads in my life. Didn’t  know where to go, metaphorically . I realised that we are all lost to a certain degree and we are all recovering from something.  Take time to get lost and allow yourself time to heal when you find yourself you might find more than before.

Foothills

Our plan was to journey up the N Wales coast but We detoured  to get to Snowdon as the weather was getting bad. This was a fortunate decision as in the subsequent days the mountain would have been pretty unpleasant to climb with the torrential rain that hit. 
Snowden in the sunshine is a joy to behold, I can’t recommend it enough. Its like opening that special bottle of whiskey you have been saving with good friends. The surrounding villages and towns feel like they haven’t changed in decades. Solid rock pubs with a rowing fire is exactly what you need after a hard day of trekking; that plus a pint of course. 
We then journeyed to Anglesea’s Beaumaris where it rained . We visited the beach and  a castle before spending the night near an old pub that was frequented by Charles Dickens & Samuel Johnson
We  started back south in more pouring rain where we stopped at many scenic points of interest as well as for some more trekking. A particular highlight was discovering a waterfall a little way off the road and up a hill, where We decided to go swimming.  We where already wet so what difference did it make?

Arriving home I can only thank the van and Jennifer for performing so well. Look forward to the next one.
