Well, its been 3 years since our last SUB:CULT Collective compilation and the time flew by faster than we knew it. As such we decided it was about time to round up some of our favourite local and not so local producers for the next volume in our Collective series featuring a blend of deep and dark to heavy hitting and rolling Jungle and Drum&Bass tracks to take you on a journey through styles and sounds. 

As with the last 2 this is a Christmas give away via our Bandcamp page to say thank you to anyone and everyone for there continued and brand new support for the SUB:CULT brand be it our events, sound system or label. 
The SUB:CULT brand itself turns 7 years old in March 2018 and i reckon its about time we threw another birthday party..... keep your eyes and ears peeled online/facebook for more info coming in the new year!!!

Galvatron - On Your Mind

illyus & Barrientos return to DFTD with even more live wire energy on their knock-out single 'Scream'. Coming back strong with a follow up to their summer stomper 'Takin' Over', a firm favourite with BBC Radio 1 DJ Annie Mac amongst many other of their productions, the Glaswegian duo remain true to their straight-up club belter style. Drumcode mainstay Bart Skils links up with emerging DJ/producer Weska for a maiden collaboration.

The duo first met in 2013 when Bart played Toronto’s iconic Coda, where Weska was a regular. In friendship and in music, they clicked effortlessly. Since then, the Dutchman has become one of DC’s most vital contributors, releasing a consistent stream of standout productions on the label, highlighted by the now-classic ‘Your Mind’ with Adam Beyer. Meanwhile the rhythmic power of Weska’s productions caught the ear of Beyer who gave the young Canadian his debut on the imprint with ‘Other Places’ when ‘A-Sides Vol.7’ dropped last summer.

When Weska migrated to Berlin a plan was hatched to collaborate, with the pair swapping ideas back and forth, before linking up in Amsterdam to finish the work. The propulsive ‘Polarize’ EP is the result, a pair of cuts that have highlighted Beyer’s gigs at Department Festival in Stockholm, Junction 2 and his behemoth B2B with Cirez D at EDC Vegas. The title cut packs a punch with rugged basslines and pin-sharp percussion, while stabs of melody dip in and out with euphoric effect. ‘Lost On You’ is a heady trip into the abyss with a sinister vocal line and powerful climax.

‘Camargue’ gets a fresh treatment on Drumcode, as a handful of techno’s finest give new life to an R&S classic.
Coming from the studio of CJ Bolland and Portuguese journeyman The Advent, the track was born out of a golden age of Belgium dance music and first released in 1992.

Kraftek are back from the label's annual August break - and with none other than Argentine duo Beico & MT93 who finally return to Kraftek for the first time since last year's blistering Cosmic Techno effort which put them on everyone's radar:  "Let There Be Dark". Although we waited a long time to choose their followup track, we are ecstatic to have the boys back with a record as good if not better than it's predecessor which ended up topping the techno charts for a month. My latest Minimal/Techno/Dance track...I know guitar players are not supposed to like Electronic Dance music but I love ALL MUSIC (except modern so-called R&B -it used to stand for "Rhythm & Blues" (and to me that means Otis Redding, John Lee Hooker, Buddy Guy & Janis Joplin etc not Beyonce, Celine Dion or Maria Carie's high pitched squealing - THAT IS NOT RHYTHM & BLUES man!!!!
Anyway, I do like experimenting with electronic noises, sounds and loops ...etc...using mainly just my laptop, a sampler. an old Yamaha 8 track analogue cassette recorder and a mixer so I also make Techno tracks...hahaha...if you hate Techno/Dance music I understand completely -you'd maybe prefer some Blues/Rock tracks that I played Bass and guitars on and recorded under the names of "Geetar Dan" and "TVcop Blues"...hope you can dig it man!!

I'm mainly a guitar and bass player (been playing 29 years -am 45 years old) but I'm also a fan of electronic dance music. Using my old Yamaha *-track cassette recorder as a mixer, a sampler and 4 x 2TB portable terabyte hard drives that are full of WAV file beats and effects loops, I made a few Minimal Techno style tracks. I've made about 30 tracks so far (all in different states of completion but about 2/3rd's would be finished). I hope you can dig them! 
PS: These tracks go really well with some green herb and acid man! (if you get what I'm saying!)...!! Haha!! Enjoy!!
