The (heart) openening track “Agradezco” is an expression of gratitude for all that exists in nature and the gift of life. Lov Lenka's soft and gentle musings enter deeper and deeper into the core of every cell, purging and purifying our entire being. Her musings are supported by an enchating arpeggio melody on charango and grounded into the earth by Xuqutopis tribal beats and deep bassline.

Global (Ancestral Elephants Remix)

Luego del lanzamiento de “Amansará”, tercer LP de Chancha Via Circuito, alterego del productor argentino Pedro Canale, sale a la luz “Amansará Remixed”, álbum compilado de reversiones, editado en Argentina a través de Estamos Felices, en USA y Oceanía a través de Wonderwheel Recordings, y en Europa y Asia por Crammed Disc. Si en Amansará (2014) terminaba de consolidarse como uno de los referentes del nuevo sonido latinoamericano a nivel global, en este nuevo trabajo Pedro se da el gusto de convocar a distintos productores de Latinoamérica y el mundo para que reinterpreten su universo a su propio parecer.

Entre las colaboraciones más destacadas aparecen artistas que van desde los Frikstailers a Tremor, pasando por Thornato, King Coya y El Búho, además de él mismo, que, bajo su anterior alias "Universildo", se anima a reinterpretar su track "Coplita", single elegido por Estamos Felices para promocionar este nuevo trabajo.

En “Amansará”, la música de Chancha Via Circuito funcionaba como una reformulación de la world music latinoamericana, dando lugar a fusiones inauditas donde se procesaban ritmos originarios del Brasil, arpas paraguayas, mística andina, la soledad pampeana del folklore argentino y la proyección espacial de la música electrónica futurista post dubstep. En “Amansará Remixed”, los sonidos de Chancha se animan a viajar hacia nuevas latitudes, siendo catalizados por distintas manos maestras, quienes, cada uno a su modo, potencian este universo sonoro llevándolo hacia territorios desconocidos.

El disco cuenta además con la participación especial de Acampante, artista multifacético argentino, quien se anima a reversionar la ilustración original, cuadro "Madadayo" de la artista plástica Paula Duró.

“Vidita” EP (Global Hybrid Records / 42 Records) is a taste of the new album by Go Dugong (Italian producer based in Milan), coming out in March 2018. A global music devotee, Go Dugong continues a journey, started with “Novanta” (42 Records / Fresh Yo!) in 2015, through exotic sounds, passing from Africa to Latin America, always trying to mix instead of embracing a prede ned genre. If the topic of “Novanta” was that of the metropolitan cultural clash, this album was born with the aim to dig deeper and nd its roots. 

The inspiration comes from the enchantment of the rst civilizations, whose myths and legends are inevitably linked to nature and the universe; This generates songs inspired by tribal beliefs, mythological gures, rituals and esotericism which, not by chance, often refer to divinities or superior civilizations arrived from outer space. The result is again a hybrid of rhythms, styles and musical genres: Afro, Andean and Amazonian music, dub, psychedelic and cosmic blend with the aim of telling a journey; Go Dugong’s research leitmotiv. 

The single “Vidita” is a tribute to the folk music of the Argentine Northwest; the wild song of the Andes is played by Miriam García, Argentinean musician and actress as well as one of the greatest researchers and performers of coplas, poetic compositions...  more

Go dugong - Vidita ft. Miriam García (El Búho Remix)

To celebrate the summer solstice we are incredibly excited to present Ñuka Shunku, the debut EP by Ecuadorian singer-songwriter Huaira.

Based in Quito, Huaira is one of the leading names in the emerging Ecuadorian scene of young musicians and producers seeking inspiration in the country’s folklore and reimagining what it could sound like in the 21st century. Huaira’s name first received global recognition for her collaboration with Nicola Cruz on his track Colibria, from his debut album Prender el alma but on this EP her own talent as a songwriter shines with four beautiful tracks inspired by the incredible nature around her and Ecuador’s rich ancestral roots.

On Ñuka Shunku, which means “I am pure heart” in quechua, Huaira shares a sound that seems to embody Ecuador’s incredible landscapes -  the lush rainforest, the soaring mountains and the stunning beauty of her country. She presents a new, deeper, more spiritual aspect to the organic-electronic scene, as if drawing her own voice and lyrics from the earth or madre tierra itself. In her own words:

“It is sharing a message that comes from the earth itself, from the ancestors. Tangible ideas that materialise in music to inspire, celebrate and share the roots of our untameable America, a continent that never stops to remind us of something we often forget: we live in a paradise.”

On this EP Huaira worked with three of the biggest talents from Ecuador’s new wave of folk musicians, brothers Pablo and Julio Vicencio (sons of legendary Ecuadorian folk musician Mauricio Vicencio), and guitarist Diego Illescas. An example of the collaborative nature of the global scene, Ñuka Shunku also features collaborations with fellow artists exploring the meeting of folk or roots music with electronica Rodrigo Gallardo, and El Búho alongside Alejandra Ortiz from the duo Minük.

Huaira and her band will be on tour in Europe this summer playing in seven cities and sharing their show in places like Fusion Festival in Germany, amongst others.
