Here at K / D we will highlight and present these particular parties that underline the good, the great and the diverse that makes this city what it is whatever the situation day or night. 

    The city that never sleeps, polite and cosmopolitan juxtaposing all faces, colours, creeds and vices, intimate and local mixed with international and global. As we slowly feed ourselves out of a very dubious financial situation and look forward to a prosperous new year and soon to be summer. Here at K / D we will feature some of London’s best kept underground hotspots that have risen and raised there game to stand firm in tougher times. We will be dissecting the philosophy, the music, and the key ingredients, not to mention mulling over all the gossip, hearsay and future plans for each party. To keep things moving forward we need to feel support and confidence within and from those around us, in the face of trouble waters we need to stand defiant and fearless always, assured we will make it to the promise land. 



    We asked Lee Foss to do this exclusive mix for you guys in fitting with us announcing him as our new resident. I mentioned we wanted a Kubicle sound of the Summer mix and he came back with this little gem. It was recorded at his studio in LA. He does not want to give a track list because he has a lot of unreleased and re edits on there.

A vital part of L.A.’s vibrant and rapidly mutating techno scene, Lee is quickly becoming one of Americas most in demand djs. After years as one of Chicago’s busiest and most forward thinking djs, his recent move to Los Angeles has paid dividends and helped to draw international attention to both his djing and production work. Though both in Chicago and L.A. Lee has remained promoters and clubs first choice for booking with credible cutting edge artists, it’s taken the last year’s hard work and dedication working full time on music to take the step from local dj to artist..

With a slew of forthcoming solo releases and remixes and collaborations with Jamie Jones and Lee Curtiss, and the launch of the label Culprit with friends and collaborators Droog expectations are rising. A new Italian partnership for Hot Creations, Clockwork, have created one of the most sought after dancefloor tracks so far this year with ‘It’s You Again’, complete with an irresistible remix from Lee Foss, Robert James and Art Department.

Stirring the hysteria further for Jamie Jones and Lee Foss’ prolific Hot Natured and Hot Creations collective, ‘It’s You Again’ is a melting pot of robotic vocals, eerie bleeps and bass. Driving gothic melodies play under distorted vocal cries and creaking sounds creating another surefire genre defying weapon for the label.

‘Running From Spaces’ is another deviant shot of electronic disorder, taking elements of disco, house and electro and coining a fresh sound that is inspiring a new generation, this is futuristic body shaking music for the masses.

Lee Foss, Robert James and Art Department, three of the hottest names in dance music right now, give their take on ‘It’s You Again’. The result is a seething potion, bubbling monster of a remix. Jamie Jones & Lee Foss’ Hot Creations offshoot, Hot Waves, releases its third stupendous compilation this September. The 14-track compilation is released digitally on the 24th September. There’s a double-pack 12” featuring six killer tracks from the compilation released on the 10th September.

Set up as a platform for burgeoning producers the Hot Waves compilations have gone from strength to strength. Giving a voice to many new producers as well as stalwarts from the Hot Creations stable, this third Volume is probably the strongest yet.

This volume features previous artists from Hot Waves compilations such as Alexis Raphael with his call to arms: ‘Warhorn’, French producer Julien Sandre teams up with Italian Dast for the brilliant ‘Wanna Be’, another driving house monster perfect for Hot Waves! Wildkats, are back teaming up with TBoy to produce the acid monster ‘Denied’, also Dirty Channels make their second Hot Waves appearance with the excellent ‘So Special’.
