1. Tell us how you came up with name, Abstract Drumz.
Originally I called myself DJ Abstract but I found out there was another Drum & Bass artist that used the same name in the late ‘90s. So I added the word “Drumz” from one of my favourite tunes, Doc Scott “Here Come The Drumz”

2. Tell us about upcoming releases and djing gigs.
. I’ve retired from playing DJ gigs (I’m an old git lol) but I’ve got lots of releases planned for next year, I can’t give anything away yet though!

3. In 250 characters or less, tell us a funny joke.
My music “career” 🤣🤣🤣 Adrian is a funny dude, check out his facebook posts, that's why I asked him for a joke.  I will tell you, he's a great producer, his music career is no joke!

100% Fez Unreleased Jungle Flavours PART 2

The six tracks on IDEM are a selection of what he created over the past two years with his synthesizers; each piece represents a different facet of Gioray’s versatile sound. The title track opens the EP with a dreamy synth sequence and deep drum programming that immediately reveals his attention to detail. Mirroring takes a subtle club-oriented turn rhythmic, hypnotic, yet never predictable while Terraflux feels rawer and more direct, with sharp drums, a strong synth hook, and a brief break to catch your breath.


On the B-side, Ardone unfolds a deep, charged track that effortlessly shifts between broken rhythms and a steady 4x4 groove. Violet shows another side of Gioray: a raw, in-your-face live jam centered around his hardware setup. The record closes with a spaced-out mix of IDEM, a soft landing after a journey through Gioray’s sonic landscape.

The Lost Tapes - A Dr S Gachet Tribute 2016 

Whenever i used to buy a tape pack back around 1995-96 i always used to listen to the Dr S Gachet sets first, usually he played tunes that no one else had, or would ever have, Audio Maze dubs, coupled with a wicked tune selection, rolling basslines, crashing amens and some of the best atmospheric breakdowns of tunes id ever heard at the time, often set the standard at many raves back in 95, 96 & 97, the epic Helter Skelter sets were always a stand out for me & my friends every time, his tapes were the first to be played and the first to go missing, never to be seen ever again!

This mix is born out of those epic sets, and a couple of One In The Jungle mixes, it incorporates some of the mixes & all of the tunes that inspired me to love D&B / Jungle to this day.......the best of these sets & nights of course hosted by unmistakable sound of MC GQ. 

These tunes in particular have been with me for the past 20 years, in my head and never getting old, this was a hell of a lot of hard work, Research, luck, a rinsed bank account and an addiction for Discogs, luckily with the power of the web and with help from sites such as Roll Da Beats i was able to identify every single tune,  over the last 8 years i have managed to get them all and put this mix together, it wont be to everybody's taste i'm sure, but for the sound quality of the tapes now and the ripped mp3's i wanted something a bit more than that, a better reminder of the tunes and how it was.

The mix has really been done for myself and my own listening pleasure, maybe someone out there will have the same love for those nights and the tunes within, if so, im sure this will tweek a few memories, and for me its like a sign off from the last 20 years of clubbing - Hope you enjoy whoever listens!
