James Glaves announces his solo debut, releasing the single “Everybody Wonders Why I act so Crazy” available July 14th on digital outlets.

  Anchorage, Alaska based band Glaves combines melodic synth pop with soulful, moody contemporary r&b and 80’s and 90’s influenced alt-pop/rock. With soaring high falsettos and gravely low swoons singer and founder James Glaves’ voice weaves effortlessly above lush and heady productions. 

 

With over 300 artists to his credit, Glaves cut his teeth as a producer and mixing engineer from 2010-2020 recording such artists as 2019 NPR Tiny Desk winner Quinn Christopherson, Strand of Oaks, Courtney Marie Andrews, and Matador Records artist Julien Baker. Most recently Glaves co-founded Anchorage based alt-pop darlings Medium Build, writing and producing 4 albums in less than 3 years and propelling the band to a household name in Alaska, and as an emerging buzz band in the rest of the U.S.

 “Everybody Wonders Why I act so Crazy” will be the first single from Glaves’ forthcoming album expected in the Fall of 2020.

This is a remix of Matador Record's artist Julien Baker's latest single "Faith Healer". Julien posted the stems of this song on reverb.com for everyone to remix. Alternatively, James Glaves can be heard offering production, mixing, and engineering on two tracks from Julien's forthcoming album due out via Matador Records in mid-February.
