Elliott Smith is one of my songwriting idols, simple as that. Sometimes I really feel like the emotional songwriting part of music gets a bit lost within the dance music world, which was a big reason I picked this amazing song to cover. I just wanted to try and do my best to honor such a great musician and one of my favorite songs.

I'm giving this song away for free (you can download it by clicking the above link) because I have an EP coming out on November 9th that I'd love for everyone to check out when it comes out. Overjoyed to present this new work. "You and me’ is out now. 

The release is set to usher in the energy of the last quarter of 2022. I’ve been on quite a journey, exploring where and how my love for dance music began. Every track I've released has tapped into vibes, sounds and grooves that I've loved over the years. I hope the young 18 year old me that first was struck by the music on the dance floors in London and Leeds would be proud of this track. 

Notes:

‘You and me’ feels like a natural follow up to ‘Give it up’. As soon as I’d written the bass riff, and created the synths and stumbled upon the vocal hook I knew I was on to something.

This track was an inspired production. It is a deep melodic house meets progressive house. From the great teacher Alan Watts who's timeless wisdom is prevalent today as it was in the 1970's this is my spiritual EDM meditation.
Hope you enjoy it as much as I did producing it.

GRANSTRÖM is the EDM producer, James Granstrom (half Swedish & half English based in London. James began producing tracks back in 2008 whilst modelling in Tokyo. The city, the environment and the people felt like an inspired place to begin. 

Previously, James studied in Leeds, England between 1994-98 and graduated in Economics coinciding with the the finest renaissance period of dance music.  The music and the fashion during this evolutionary time was at it's peak and the vibe out in the clubs and across the UK was sky high ! 

He discovered his talent by accident after a daily meditation practice. "Sounds funny, but having some introspection really changed my life. It was like I became a tuning fork and music and new ideas just started to flow. I played and learned as I went along. "

 "Music has such a powerful positive impact on me. The music I am inspired to produce is quite an eclectic mix of dance music. My music is an expression of how I'm feeling. I know this much, behind the music I want to help people feel good, I want to uplift everyone and I want to make the best music. I want to make a positive impact across the world with my energy & creative work". 

My dream is to have my music played all over the world bringing upliftment to billions.
