Kevin McKay and Doozie follow up their last single ("A New Day") with this joyously understated collaboration with Canadian vocalist Elise LeGrow. Most DJs will know Elise from "It Is What It Is", her 2020 collaboration with Vintage Culture that hit the top of the charts back in 2020. Other listeners will know "Temptation", her huge streaming success with Bakermat from 2022. Listening to either of these superb songs, it was a no-brainer for us to have her on the label. "So Far" is a beautiful, deep house jam topped with Elise's wondrous words about a break-up. It's no shoe-gazing, sad song, though, as Elise delivers a supreme, positive outlook on the heartbreak. If you liked Texture's "Hit The Ground", this is for you.

His influence unquestionable across dance music’s landscape; electronic music heavy weight Fedde Le Grand returns to Toolroom, with his rootsy House anthem ‘Liquid Music’. It’s been a minute since we’ve had Terri-Anne on the label, and we’ve missed her loopy deep house vibes, so we set up a studio session with her and Kevin. Her first sample pick was one close to Kevin’s heart. Having co-produced the Mylo vs. Miami Sound Machine anthem “Dr. Pressure”, he has always been a huge fan of Gloria Estefan’s Latin disco. So when Terri-Anne suggested “Rhythm Is Gonna Get You”, he couldn’t load up his sampler fast enough. Much like his and Amal Nemer’s remix of “In The Air Tonight”, Kevin and Terri-Anne take snatches of vocal and lay them over a deep, pad-filled groove. Add in some choice timbale rolls and you have an absolute belter of a tune.
