Cosmicleaf Records features MAGNETIK in this show. Magnetik is an ambient/chill out project, influenced by such music luminaries as Vangelis, Jean Michel Jarre, Klaus Schulze, Hans Zimmer. These influences resonate in Magntik's music. His debut album 'Portraits' was released by Tactal Hots Music in 2011, and he eeleased a lot of EPs and Remixes, most of them for Cosmicleaf Records. Magnetik's second album 'Archaic' was released on Cosmicleaf Records in March 2021. His styles oscillate from beatless and ethno influenced moods to downtempo, with trance elements. This mix is a testament to Magnetik's evolution as a musician, showcasing a diverse array of styles and flavors that effortlessly weave together to create a sonic tapestry of profound beauty.

MAGNETIK | Csmicleaf Records Series Ep. 78 | 11/06/2024

PURPLE BRAIN is an established music and art collective that spreads eclectic and intelligent electronic music in the Italian capital: Rome. In the last years they also crossed the ocean bringing their sound and concept overseas to India, managing a Luigi Tozzi tour, and they will present many more artists this year. On radiOzora, they will present the most representative guests show after show, who performed at their events. For this episode, Purple Brain invites WORG. Worg is an electronic music composer, producer, sound designer and live performer based in Rome. At the end of the Anno Urbis MMXVIII he founds and creates his own label "Lykos Records”. He explores sounds that range from experimental techno through ambient approaching deep techno. Captivating textures, persistent rhythm and metallic discordance merge both live and during studio production. Noise, smooth pads, shifting sounds and slight and hypnotic melodies are the characteristic elements of his music, giving particular attention to search both complex and distinct sonorities. These heterogeneous elements give life to a deep sound enveloped in a dark gloomy haze. His attempt is to accompany the audience in a voyage through oniric and spectral soundscapes. Dystopian places and fantasies located in imaginative habitats, result in Worg's vision.

This live set, recorded at Fábrica Braço de Prata in 2023, was inspired by the Utopic Landscapes collection from Human Afterall.

The performance features field recordings, sound collages, and manipulated speech samples — all heavily processed — along with a lot of synth experimentation and rhythmic deviation.

The result may sound strange and often repetitive, but hopefully immersive — at least, at times.

It might feel a bit amateurish (I think), but it was made with love.

I finally found the time to upload my latest DJ set on my SoundCloud! This is the set I played last Saturday at Destil during Thriftfest. Fortunately, I managed to record the chillout mix before the girls started requesting a higher BPM, understandably so, after an exhausting day working at the market. Haha! The experience was absolutely amazing, and I had an incredible time. It was truly exhilarating to bring psychedelic sounds to the heart of Tirana!
