They a poor investment? 
What’s it take to earn 
Value when you ain’t making 
only taking money? 
Hard to measure 
what makes life worth living, 
like using only sweetness 
to indicate the value of honey.

can make a year disappear,

Everyday already been sold,
Working to the bone, nothing to show
Interest accruing, end getting farther 
not near. 
Woulda never set foot on that escalator, was out of order when I stepped on, 
now it’s running in reverse,

Or if I’ll ever make it 
up to that platform.
