Since I've got my results I suppose I can upload this, my recording for 3B. Looking back I probably would've chosen a different song but this turned out really well, I think.
The vocals are a bit over produced in the chorus at points, but that was a last minute thing I didn't have time to change back.

Manic Street Preachers - If You Tolerate This.. (Music Tech 3B)

This is my second term composition for my first year of CCSD at Huddersfield University. 
We had to include musical styles such as minimalism, serialism and atonality into the composition so it does jump around a bit! I really like it though! Might be the first composition I've ever done that I've liked. It's really just Steve Reich x Tortoise for most of it.

CCSD term 2 composition

So for our first CCSD2 assignment we had to remix some song. I chose some cruddy trance song and this is what I ended up with.  I like bits of it. I like the last section, but that doesn't really fit in with the rest of the song at all. Maybe that's why I like it.
I started out wanting to make a sort of Portishead - Roads track but you can see that didn't work out.
This is really only worthwhile because I got to use a Beastie Boys drum sample.

CCSD2 remix assignment

For my second CCSD2 assignment I had to create a composition that showcased a couple of synth patches that I made with Reaktor. 
Because the patches weren't that great in isolation I wanted to use them to create a thickly textured song, like something by m83, and I think that worked out really well for the finished product.

Simple scape I made using tons of reverb and delay, but also using the dual feature on my EHX pitch fork and some dirt from the Soda Meister side of my DeviEver Shoegazer. #StrymonOceanSounds
