James Nino grew up outside of Boston with an adopted family.  He excelled in athletics, but due to an injury he dropped out of college.  He started collaborating with local artists and helped develop the rap group Fresh Label at age 19. After small local success he moved the project base to Miami, Florida 2 years later.  When his adopted father passed away he took a hiatus from his music.

Fast forward: Being a victim of police brutality,  Nino felt obligated to make a positive impact on society and the African American community.  He reverted back to his musical roots and developed "ROCKSTAR" with an ideology of establishing the "4 KINGS" movement modeled behind Martin Luther King Jr, Malcolm X, Marcus Garvey and Nat Turner. Creating a new sound of empowerment matching the ultra-aggressive sound of gangsta rap music with a socially conscious message, thus forming "GLADIATOR MUSIK".

His goal is to impact and force change upon the current hip hop elite and upcoming artists' message from being derogatory and detrimental to one's own people to a proud, unapologetic and Alpha-regal message that should lead our youth to a more positive future.

Through music he looks to lead a nation of upcoming, intelligent and fearless men, women and children of all social inequalities with a united voice that can not be ignored.  Now poised and positioned to incorporate the street mentality matched with an ultra-conscious perspective of the realities in America, NOW IS THE TIME FOR CHANGE.
