I wrote the song to explore self esteem and body confidence from the less discussed male perspective, from my own personal battles with body image, how it affects our sense of worth and how I personally have worked to overcome it. 

The #PerfectlyMe social movement is designed to raise awareness about these issues, encouraging men and women to speak out and share their insecurities, their vulnerabilities, the things we perceive as being our imperfections. Why? Because we need to understand it's ok, how have we become so defined in terms of what we should strive to look or be like. Imperfections is not a negative word, it's what makes us beautifully human and in a time where our differences are often shoved down our throats to induce fear or threat or drive separation, I want to celebrate something so pure and so honest, that we are all in fact perfectly human with so very much in common - often we just need to take that collective leap to realise it.
