Brothers and DJ/producer duo, Murphy’s Law, make their Kaluki debut this month with their brand-new, ‘Waistline’ EP. From a young age, the pair have been making full use of their dad's recording studio, making everything from Grime to Dubstep and anything in between. The shift in sound, to the rolling, percussive beats they now play came about when the two were old enough to start getting into raves. Since then, they have been swallowed up by the dark and dirty depths (and debts) of the underground Tech House world. Boasting an impressive CV of signings on the likes of Sola Nauts, Under No Illusion, Lost, Roush, Farris Wheel, Monday Social and Resonance Records, as well as achieving three #1 Releases in the Beatport charts.

Their persistence in the studio has led to lots of early support from some of their biggest musical influences such as; Marco Carola, Patrick Topping, Jamie Jones, Nic Fanciulli and Joris Voorn to name a few. The ‘Waistline’ EP delivers two heavyweight Tech anthems whilst staying true to that distinctive Murphy’s Law sound! Expect exciting synth transitions, playful rise and fall basslines, acid-inspired riffs, rolling percussion, distorted vocals and grooving low-end throughout the EP.

Having recently reached Beatport number one with ‘Urban Shaker’, Manchester-based DJ/producer Sam Curran readies three new productions for Jamie Jones’ renowned Hottrax this April. Gaining previous support from Jamie Jones, Sidney Charles, and Franky Rizardo, Curran is back with another bass-heavy production that ensures an impressive return to the label.

The title cut ‘Twilight On The Terrace’ brings rolling low end and playful vocal interjections that create a rousing club track, while the bumping ‘Eric’s Rumble’ showcases a reverberating bassline in true Hottrax style, paired with dizzying drops and wonky stabs. Closing out the EP ‘NRG’ harnesses crisp hats, snaking bass grooves, and moody, infectious samples to journey deep into late-night territories.

ALISHA makes an impressive debut outing on Hot Creations with ‘Changes’, backed by a remix from  Chicago house legend Mike Dunn.  

A bubbling name within the UK house landscape for several years, it’s fair to say that 2022 was the year  that ALISHA truly emerged as a surging name of note, dropping stand-out material via Eastenderz and making  appearances at Warehouse Project, Shelter, INPUT and Amnesia for Jamie Jones’ iconic Paradise events. Taking  things up a level as she gets set for an even bigger twelve months, her first release of 2023 comes on Jones and  Lee Foss’ globally renowned Hot Creations with her latest single ‘Changes’ - accompanied by a classy remix from  ever-excellent house music icon Mike Dunn.

A warping and driving production armed with tough kicks, rumbling low-ends and squelchy synths, all guided by  the track’s hooky and infectious vocal sample from South Street Player’s iconic 1993 record ‘(Who?) Keeps  Changing Your Mind’, ‘Changes’ is a rugged yet vibrant production geared to keep dancers moving as much as  ALISHA’s own high energy presence in the booth. Switching up the aesthetic and diving deep into a swirling,  soulful journey, Mike Dunn’s remix harnesses the vocal to pair with rich chords for a delightful slice of house music.
