The REC series compiles outstanding performances recorded in the club throughout the year, highlighting artists representing our love for electronic music.

Just a month ago, Answer Code Request and Amotik washed Fuse over with a gripping 3 hours back-to-back. And among the countless ephemeral alliances that have animated our Room 01 in recent years, this pairing is hailed as one of the most harmonious and intuitive we’ve ever had.

With a constant, fluid rhythmic approach, Answer Code Request and Amotik combine the best of both worlds. Sometimes hypnotic, straightforward or uplifting, you don’t need more than a few tracks to understand that those two enjoy playing together. For MNMT 401 we are very happy to present Haruka with an incredible 2.5 hour journey recorded live at Otsukimi Festival in Japan (@technotribeotsukimi). Taking place in the stunning Hakuba Alps, Haruka delivered deeply mind-altering grooves into the night sky, with layers of psychedelia delicately teasing over intricate loops, all mixed with the precision of a veteran selector. 

Haruka is a longtime resident and co-organizer of the legendary Future Terror party, with regular bookings across Asia and beyond, including legendary venues such as Bassiani, Berghain, Basement NY & De School to list just a few.

Active for nearly three decades, Japanese DJ and producer Takaaki Itoh has been carving out a niche truly his own in the realm of deep techno. Pumping out multi-sensory DJ tools for breakfast, Itoh champions a sound highly dynamic yet infused with the kind of minute textural work and layers of modular complexity one can not but marvel at. Punching in with a wild two hours of electro-magnetic hardware funk and entrancingly immersive brainwaves, the Sendai-based wizard elevates us to a whole new world where hi-tech submersion and atmospheric club music reign supreme. This year, the spanish techno legend Oscar Mulero will return to the stage at rural, and we are happy to share the recording of his closing set at “rural at New Acao” in 2022.

This three-hour raging techno set guided the audience to the most intense and deeper world in the otherworldly main floor of “New Acao”, a gorgeous Showa-era building overlooking the sea.
