The plane soared high over the cities below, occasional flashes of land could be seen dotted between the hazy fog and the morning clouds. They'd flown over Paris, Rome, Berlin and as they approached Anderlecht the temperature began to drop outside just a little bit more.

This was a smooth flight, the sort one would dream of. The sunlight of the early morning igniting the cabin and beaming into the cockpit.

They soared and weaved between the fluffy white orbs, firmly fixed on the destination onwards and ahead.

XL Regular does it again with a killer, bubbly EP released on Artisjok Records. Drawing upon influence from UK bass culture as well as the more traditional fringes of House music, this one is for all the shufflers and toe tappers. The sound of headphones in the foggy mist of a London morning. Big vibes.

In 2020, Phasmid released his debut single ‘Shunned’ on Gimme A Break’s We Are Viable compilation, raising funds to support Leeds-based MAP Charity. Five years on, the eclectic DJ and producer has announced that his debut physical EP will be released via GAB on March 7th 2025.

Having cut his teeth in the UK Garage and Breaks scene, Phasmid took an extended leave from the DJ circuit to refine his sound and production techniques. Hadal Zone is the culmination of Phasmid’s various musical explorations to date, showcasing the producer’s signature clean-cut and bass-led take on breakbeat, electro and trance fusion.

On the A-side, the title track kickstarts the EP with a clinical electro breakbeat workout. Anz makes her Hessle Audio debut with a club-ready three track EP, following releases on the label by Pearson Sound and Pangaea in July. Lead track 'Loos In Twos (NRG)' goes turbo, with a ruffneck bassline, clattering breakbeats and dramatic rave stab breakdowns all combining to memorable, killer effect. On the B side, 'Gary Mission' gets loose with disorientating flanged FX and a wriggling low end, with the minimal beat track 'Stepper' using sharp vocal snippets and chest-rattling sub to light up the dance. Anz is a DJ and Producer based in Manchester (via London, Liverpool and Madrid).
