Madloch and Matias Vila released their first joint studio project in June of this year. The result of this European collaboration was the twelve minute opus 'Reading Souls'. Shortlisted for Nick Warren's Beatport #1 compilation 'The Soundgarden' the track was eventually released on Madloch's Sound Avenue imprint. It not only marked a return to what looks like a steady flow of studio output from the Belgian producer but also showcased Matias' vastly underappreciated sonic skills. Put out as just a single track release the success of the project seemed to beg for a follow-up remix package. Fast forward seven months and the 46th release on Sound Avenue finds James Teej and Nikko.Z providing new interpretations of 'Reading Souls'. 
James Teej has been one of electronic music's most inspiring artists for the last half decade. The Canadian producer is perhaps best known for being one third of the famed My Favorite Robot production trio but his solo studio efforts have been equally enthralling. From his early appearances on No.19 Music, to being the first artist to record an album for Sasha's Last Night On Earth imprint, James Teej has remained on the cutting edge throughout the course of his career. Recent studio work has showcased a new sound which is rich in atmosphere and psychedelia; two traits which have translated quite well on his 'Reading Souls' interpretation. Built on a series of hallucinatory motifs James' 'Holographic Moon' remix is captivating from start to finish. It's an unpredictable but extremely satisfying journey which works on a variety of levels.  As a psychedelic audio collage it is monumentally stimulating and it's power  as a late night floor burner is sure to put even the most discerning club goer in a spellbound state.
The second interpretation of 'Reading Souls' is provided by Nikko.Z who is making his third appearance on Sound Avenue. The Greek producer played a huge part in the Belgian imprints beginnings having delivered a remix and single all within the labels first five releases. In addition to running Dopamine Music  Nikko has a discography which includes appearances on Sudbeat Music and Classound Recordings.  For his 'Reading Souls' interpretation Nikko has reshaped the multi themed original into a seductive slice of hypnotic tech house. Rippling waves of bass lay down an alluring foundation while phasing rhythms and textural drifts augment the already tight groove. A tasteful main break adds further musicality and the elegance which flows through the conclusion finds both Nikko and Sound Avenue stretching their sonic canvas to new heights.

The lone interpretation of 'Solaris' is provided by James Teej who is making his first appearance on microCastle.  The Canadian born but currently Ecuador based producer has been one of electronic music's most inspiring artists for the last half decade. James is perhaps best known for being one third of the famed My Favorite Robot production trio but his solo studio efforts have been equally enthralling. SLEEPING LANGUAGE, the visionary record label founded by Canadian artist and Grammy-nominated producer James Teej, proudly presents “Awakening”, a collaborative EP with Miami producer Mr. Tron. 

Set for release on October 31, 2025, this three-track EP, featuring the lead single “Awakening” and B-side “Olympus Mon” delivers a solid blend of highly textured, progressive techno-infused electronica. Both original tracks weave haunting melodies and lush soundscapes, embodying the label’s mission to curate artistically profound and timeless electronic music. 

Mr. Tron, born Nicolas Troncoso in Mar del Plata, Argentina, moved to Miami at age 10 and has since become a cornerstone of South Florida’s minimal and techno scenes. Known for dynamic opening sets at iconic venues like Club Space’s Techno Loft, Electric Pickle, and Treehouse, he’s a resident DJ for LinkMiamiRebels and UnMute. As the founder of Alchemista Records, Mr. Tron has released works showcasing his signature deep techno and minimal sound. His label, focused on lean rhythm-driven music, aligns with his artistic vision of raw, immersive deep techno and electronica, and has fast become internationally respected showcasing some of techno’s finest talents.

The EP is elevated by a stunning remix of “Awakening” by legendary South American artist Hernan Cattaneo and Soundexile. Cattaneo, Argentinian musical royalty, is a global progressive house icon, founder of his highly respected label Sudbeat, and known for his 30-year career, 11 albums, and residencies at iconic venues like Cream in Ibiza and Pacha in Buenos Aires. Soundexile, fellow Argentinians, help bring a fresh yet sophisticated edge to the collaboration and have released music on labels like Sudbeat, All Day I Dream, and Lost & Found, having toured internationally, playing alongside numerous electronic music legends.

The remix stems from a long time mutual musical friendship between Cattaneo and Teej spanning nearly two decades, and represents a wonderful addition to the SLEEPING LANGUAGE catalogue. Their remix transforms “Awakening” into a club-ready anthem, pulsating with hypnotic rhythms and melodic depth, ideal equally for late nights and sunrise sets.

 
“Teaming up with Mr. Tron and having Hernan Cattaneo and Sound Exile remix ‘Awakening’ is a meaningful South American collaboration,” says James Teej, recalling his time living in Ecuador for nearly 5 years. “This EP is a true journey, and the collaborative intercontinental inspiration brings a wonderful energy that I hope is shared on dancefloors around the world.”

Róisín Murphy has become one of the most competent, enduring and influential figures in the pop, disco and electronic music worlds. The Irish singer-songwriter originally broke into the charts as the frontwoman for Moloko, delivering music that was leftfield electronic and pop-orientated. Her consequent output, three stunning solo albums, and Mi Senti a beautiful Italian language EP with The Vinyl Factory alongside guest vocal presence on labels like Hot Creations and Permanent Vacation have ensured Róisín’s enduring legacy and constant evolution as an artist. ‘Jealousy’ was also mixed by the legendary Eric Kupper, who was a production partner with Frankie Knuckles and Dave Morales and whose K-Scope releases were a staple of 90's American NY House.

James Teej (MFR, Rebellion) Moosefly (Connaisseur, SOSO) & Just Emma (Connaisseur, Underyourskin) have each delivered their own unique interpretation of Evans' original, making this one of Dilate Records more diverse releases.

Evans uses the original to showcase not only his production talent, but also his ear for sound quality. This deep dark style is mixed perfectly with the clean, clear and beautifully haunting vocal.

James Teej is no stranger to creating magic with his previous releases and this one is no exception. A big main room vibe oozing plenty of coolness ready to create a true moment on every dance floor.

Moosefly deliver a deep groovy atmospheric style remix, featuring their characteristic warm yet subtle low end.

The third remix by Just Emma completes this amazing package perfectly, with its slow energy, moody melodic vibe and an uneasy vocal placement making the track shifty but cool.

James Teej has done just that with his music career that spans already 20 years. 

The Grammy Nominated (2017 Best Remixed Recordings) Canadian born electronic music artist, producer and DJ, who currently resides in Victoria, British Columbia, has carved out his own musical space with a seasoned music career that has included releases on some of the World's most cutting edge and sought after labels, leaving behind a consistent discography of boundary pushing music that spans across all genre's of eclectic underground electronic. 

With all this under his belt, and no signs of slowing down, he has already fast become one of Canada’s influential stars in the global underground electronic music scene.

In 2007, James began releasing his innovative sound to the world on what has now become a long list of respected recording labels including: Rekids, Rebellion/Crosstown Rebels, No.19 Music, My Favorite Robot (of which he was a member and label A&R), Sasha's Last Night On Earth, Get Physical, Rebirth Records, Supernature, We Play House, Galaktika Records, Apersonal, Connect Four Records, Perspectiv, and many more. He has released two full length solo albums, both receiving worldwide critical acclaim and support.

His music has also been featured on compilations for Fabric and Global Underground (Jamie Jones and Dave Seaman respectively)
