Suite Excêntrica, is a long, through-composed piece for piano and double bass. 
(and a few strings, sprinkled in here and there)
The longer format, is something I've wanted to experiment with for a while, and in some ways, gives you more freedom to play around with shorter fragments of melody, that come in and out without necessary being developed in the way they might be in song form.

Proud to be joined on this by the wonderful Gonçalo Naia on bass.

Didn't know how this would turn out, but in the end pleased with the result.

Franco-British pianist and composer.
Grew up in Paris then moved to the US to study at Boston’s Berklee College of Music. After graduating lived in New York for six years and worked as a vocal accompanist, a music educator and led a trio,  recording eight albums, and accompanying performers such as Gino Sitson and Amy Winehouse.
After eleven years in the US, returned to Europe - now based in Lisbon, Portugal.

About the music:


I'm interested in simple ideas that go to unexpected places. Small melodic or harmonic shifts that surprise me. It’s not just something I search for in my own music, but also in other people’s.

Then there's the interaction with other musicians.
Finding a balance between individual and group expression - it doesn’t always work but when it does, feels like having a great conversation.
