6. “ambient nights” - the sixth track uploaded. taking the feedback i had been receiving from Reddit into consideration, i set out to create a beat that has plenty of changes without having too few drums to give energy for a potential artist to be able to fill out the track with vocals. to start, i decided to use a sample of sorts to intro, following the sampling guidelines i had discovered while making “deja vu or nostalgia” of using random samples fading in and out to fill empty spaces. i was able to quickly find a clip of a firetruck approaching, which hit its’ peak at the start of the drums, creating a riser effect. the melody was made similarly to past tracks of the same style, stacking layer on layer of whatever instrument i thought fit in the mix. initially it contained a soft pad that played throughout the entirety to give more atmosphere and warmth, which i later took out in parts in an attempt to finish what i set out to do and keep the drums playing while changing the sound of the beat up every now and so. “ambient nights” would go on to be released on Soundcloud and Youtube, carrying on the increased views, but not setting a new personal record.
