It was with great sadness Sunday that we learned that the incomparable guitarist Larry Coryell had died.  Larry was one of the pioneers of fusion, with his seminal Fusion album Spaces in 1968, and a true leader in the jazz/rock field, in addition to the many other styles which he mastered.  There's no guitar on this Jamey Abersold backing track, but instead I brought out the Hammond Organ as a tribute to this monumental player.  Larry was heavily into the blues, and his son Murali leads a top blues band now.  RIP Larry.  Thank you for so much incredible music.

Jazz/Fusion keyboard player, composer and producer.  Marketing, advertising, publishing and sales career.  Originally from Chicago, where I developed a strong appreciation for the blues and classical, and moved to New York, where jazz and the fine arts are so deep.
