Cuttin' Headz continues to define the contemporary house landscape with another superb EP, this time from Toman. The Dutchman has been hugely prolific since breaking through and his unique take on house and techno has led him to much-renowned outlets like No Art, Moscow & Eastenderz. 

This fresh new EP opens with Madrugada, a tightly coiled bit of tech funk. The kicking drums and razor sharp hi hats are detailed with cool female vocal stabs, whirring effects and dramatic fills that really make the track pop. Better Is Weather is a much deeper tune but one that still packs a punch. The super balmy pads bring a nice summery feel to the breezy late night grooves and hints of garage skip. 

All in all, another incredible standout EP from all involved.

Grooved Selects 001 Presents 'Apple Tree' EP by Belgian Artist Gabski including a Ben Murphy Remix who are both based in London. 

The 4 track debut EP includes colourful tracks made for clubs and after parties. Lead track 'Apple Tree' features a subby bassline, trippy percussion and a catchy vocal; remixed sharply by Ben Murphy who has delivered a groovy alternative. Next up is 'Sly' which travels through different styles with a dreamy melody. To close 'Level Up' demonstrates an energetic yet subtle groove, with deep vocals and a sweet baseline.

A new name in the uk scene…

Jamie launched him self into the industry during lockdown. Since then he has been constantly making music securing support from some of the big dogs in the game and even fortunate enough to land his music on there labels, such as Hottrax, Solid Grooves, Sola and Coco and has even become a main stay within the Issues Family.

As the restrictions eased Jamie immersed him self into the London scene playing in some of the worlds most iconic clubs, such as Fabric E1 and 93 Feet East. This has led him to play all around the Uk and is now starting to play around the world…

Describing his sound I would say is heavy and dark, trippy and sometimes atmospheric. There are no rule books in his music production as he is self taught, which makes his creative process abstract…
