Originally released on Perfecto back in 2002, “Requiem For A Dream” was arguably Leama’s biggest release with the equally sublime Dream and Ambient Mixes. Since then the track has gained somewhat of a cult status and is considered a key classic among the progressive fans (in the traditional sense of the word progressive – as opposed to the widely recognised genre sound of today).

Bringing the track bang up to date are new remixes from label head Paul Oakenfold, who’s features his version on his new “Cream 21” compilation album, progressive house stalwart Quivver - who turns in a deep, brooding take and one of our favs Andre Sobota - whose recent remix of Justin Oh’s “Find You” is still on daily rotation in the Perfecto office. Hot on the heels of his insane “Bullet in The Gun” makeover breaks legend Refracture delivers a truly delicious take which completes the package immaculately.   

With a powerful and varied mix of styles, this is a fierce package that will keep fans on all sides of the fence happy.

Kenneth Thomas is one of the longest serving Perfecto artists and he graces the schedule once more with “Heart On Fire” an epic vocal trance track that has seen constant and unwavering support from Paul Oakenfold.

On hand with a storming US style progressive house remix and following his awesome debut on Perfecto, “Evolution” is Yonathan Zvi. This guy is definitely a name to watch in 2014!

2Symmetry are a hot new signing for Perfecto and they step up to give us a deeper progressive house take in their own style. A mix of hypnotic melody and beats to give “Heart On Fire” a slightly mellower feel.

Now 30 years ago it´s the perfect date to upload and share the recording.
The legendary Planet club (March 1991-End 1993) was the predeccecor of the E-Werk (1993-1997).

Recently rescued and digitized from the depths of my cassette tape collection, this relic was recorded from Radio 100, a beloved pirate radio station in Amsterdam. Despite the less-than-ideal sound quality, every crackle and hiss adds to the charm of this vintage vinyl mix. It offers a glimpse of a bygone era.
