Little info on the making of this track:

Late last year, I brought this track that I had been working on as an instrumental to the Bikram Malhar, a Hindustani Classical vocalist/teacher based in Melbourne, Australia. I wanted to see what sort of ideas he would have for such a thing. Basically, what you hear is what he sung over the track first time he went through it. First take GOLD, imo. He later told me he was drawing from Raag Tilak Karmod, the title of the track. For those interested, this Raag is often used throughout light-classical music in india, including bollywood films and other media outside of the hindustani classical tradition. It's a very versatile Raag and so it makes sense Bikram was able to fuse it so easily with the music I had created. The svara (notes) are basically the same as a regular run of the mill western major scale, so that helps too :P.
