This is a special one. The structure is very weird I have to admit. But I like where I went with it. It's more of an experiment than a real track but I kind of love it and I hope you will too.

Ok, back to the roots !

After some heavier tracks I decided to go back a bit in what I do probably best: Emotional instrumental.

I needed to go back to this kind of track cause I had a lot to evacuate. It sounds silly but last week my dog, who had been with us for 18 years, passed away. It was a very sad day. You can be prepared all you want but it still hurts to lose a member of the family.

I used this feelings to compose this track. It's sad in a way and on the other hand, not at all. Of course the pain of losing someone loved is present but all the good memories are still there too. That mix of feelings gave me this track.

Sure you lose something but in a way it's still there... In your mind and in your heart...

It's not happy nor is it sad. It's simple emotion. I hope you will feel it by listening to it and that you will like it.

I wanted to work with her for a while cause I loved her voice but I didn't want to redo one of my tracks. I wanted to compose something specialy made to sing and with this collab in mind. 

It took a while cause I was not sure about myself but in the end of december I finaly sent her a Demo. Luckily she liked it and felt inspired by it. In only a few hours she had written the Lyrics, it was AMAZING. It's like she knew exactly what I wanted to say with this song.The first draft with her voice already sounded very good. 

It was truely music magic.

Here is Another Try

This is not a new track actually. It is the instrumental version of the song that I made with Katja "Another Day" Still I uploaded it cause I truely think it's Worth to give it a listen.

IThe feeling is quiet different I think. The main part is played on the Piano and I removed some guitars to make more room to that beautiful instrument. It's also interesting cause it's more or less the demo version I sent to Katja, except that I improved the sound and instrumentation overall and I also brought more diversity in the verses to make it more like a piano track.

Another Try (Another Day Instrumental Piano)

As you all know I'm still not able to compose new music at the moment due to my health condition. I still have not lost hope and at the moment I write these lignes I'm trying different solutions to be able to make new music.

However, I would like to present this track to you. It's an old track that I was working on for the A Smaal Hope fanfiction of my friend Oiseau Vermillon. 

Keep in mind that the track is not fuelly finished. The sound quality, the mixing etc is not great at all. But still I wanted to share it with you. 

What is a melody if no one can ever hear it? So I chose to share this one with you. It is what it is but I hope you will still like it.

A Small Hope: Passion and Sorrow (unfinished work)

Here it is ! My first track that upload in over 2 years.

I wasn't planning on sharing this now cause I'm still having trouble due to my illness which prevent me from composing music the way I want to and as much as I would like to. But no worries I AM still working on a lot of new tracks. It takes a long time but I prefer to do as much as possible in advance  in order to be able to upload them later on a regularly basis.

Anyway I still wanted to share this track particularly cause I would like to dedicate this music to my Grand mother who passed away 2 weeks ago. She was, for sure, my biggest fan. Everytime she came to my home she would ask if she could sit next to me and listen to my music over and over again. 

She was always supporting me and kept insisting that I share my music as much as possible to the world.

So this for my Oma. This is "Carried by the wind"

Carried By The Wind

Hi all,

The first track I release in over 3 years should have been an up-tempo track taken from my new album (which will be released on April 27). But due to the weird circumstances we all live in today I decided that this was probably more appropriate.

Like almost all of you, I'm in a lockdown due to the Corona virus. Due to my condition this virus is life threatening to me so I've put myself in severe quarantine. I miss my friends a lot but I keep my head up high.

And what better way to relieve the heart than making music? I composed this track just a week ago which is why I have chosen to release this track today cause it reflects my state of mind today. It also showcases the progress I've made the last years while working on the album and the quality you can expect from me from now on.

My last words will be to say thank you to all the people who work in the healthcare, supermarkets, and so on... My thoughts are with you

I'm Yannick Jamsin. I am suffering from a Spinal Muscular Atrophy which means I can't use my arms or anyother muscle properly. For composing my music I use a computer or my Iphone. I draw or play every note one by one and sometimes I use virtual instruments from apps like Garageband.

I'm composing for fun only and I'm not making any profits whatsoever from my music.

Making music is a passion and it would be a dream to live from it.

But the REAL GOAL is to show the world that even paralysed, we can achieve big things. CAUSE THE MIND IS STRONGER THAN THE BODY.
