The Wild is a tune we put together after we got home from a volunteer farming trip across Europe where we went up some mountains, ran with some bulls and once got stuck shoveling trampled goat shit for hours in 100 degree heat. The goat incident aside, we spent those months living largely off the grid - constantly moving through remote areas, away from wifi and cell phones, with a couple shirts - and boxers - we washed in rivers and sinks. This song came out of the realization that we ended up being more comfortable, and feeling more alive eating reindeer and getting soaked in arctic rain out in the Swedish Lapland than on a couch, living the stationary lives we got away from. This is our first original single, and also the first song where Devin plays an electric guitar in the verses, which we thought fit better with the huge electronic soundscape Aaron whipped up. The album art is a picture we took at base camp below Kebnekaise, the tallest peak in Sweden. Der Song selbst handelt von Menschen, die als Parasiten dargestellt werden, und fragt, was bleibt, wenn die Menschen die Natur weiterhin ausbeuten. Dem Original-Mix haben sich der Hamburger Produzent @oliverschories und das Berliner Gespann Penwood angenommen. Schories hat das Original in ein episch wirkendes Konstrukt gezwängt und die Nummer sehr düster erscheinen lassen. Ein Remix, der wie geschaffen ist für den Club. (...)

this song started on a rainy day in LA... it was all gray outside and i just started messing around until this "wuub wub wuub wub wubwubwubwubwub" thing appeared in my head... i didn't think much of it at first, but it turned into one of my favorite tracks i've ever made. writing the rest of it with Nevve was one of the most magical musical experiences i've ever had, she's brilliant. it's a different sound for me, but i'm super proud of it and i hope you all love it as much as i do <3 ENJOY!
