"Cave Exploration Report: Serpentaal

On January 2nd, 2023, a team of experienced cavers traversed the Serpentaal cave system. The cave is known for its serpentine structure, with winding and twisting passages that can be both challenging and disorienting.

Upon entering the cave, the team was immediately struck by the greenish hue that seemed to permeate the air. This was later determined to be caused by unknown plants that were found growing in various parts of the cave. These plants were unlike anything seen before, and samples were collected for further study.

As the team progressed deeper into the cave, they encountered inexplicable light phenomena. These ranged from bright flashes of light to subtle changes in the glow of the cave walls. The team was unable to determine the cause of these phenomena, and they added to the already eerie atmosphere of the cave.

As the team navigated the winding passages, they came across a large population of eels. These creatures seemed to be thriving in the cave's environment, and the team had to take care not to disturb them.

The cave system seemed endless as the team pressed on, each twist and turn revealing yet another passage to explore. The oppressive feeling deep in the cave was palpable, but also strangely pleasurable.

In conclusion, the Serpentaal cave system is a unique and challenging environment. The discovery of unknown plants and inexplicable light phenomena make it a site of scientific interest. The serpentine structure of the cave makes navigation difficult, but also adds to the cave's allure. The eels population add to the cave's unique ecosystem. The overall experience of the cave was both pleasurably oppressive and endlessly intriguing. Further exploration and study of the Serpentaal cave is recommended."

Tony Thomas is a name synonymous with tech house as one of the early pioneers of the sound. It was difficult not to hear his music being dropped in sets of many of the biggest DJs on the planet over the last 20 years (he produces since 1992). United Kingdom based, he has performed as a DJ in over 40 countries and has produced countless releases and remixes on over 100 labels worldwide under at least 40 different aliases (Matt Hoyson, Astraglide, Soundscape, Vortex, Synaptic, Gordon Truerock, Jak Jaxon, Melt…) !!! Le compliment vient de Laurent Garnier, fait en direct lors de son émission radio Is It What It Is.
 Le DJ, grand nom de la scène techno internationale, n’est pas le seul à soutenir Tevatron et à mixer ses morceaux. 

Des deux côtés de l’Atlantique, des DJ comme, Derrick May, Luke Slater, 
Mark Flash (Underground Resistance), Ian O’Donovan, DJ Bone, 
Buzz Goree (Underground Resistance), Ben Sims, Fabrice Lig ou Jack de Marseille,
soutiennent le producteur français. 

Si Tevatron bénéficie aujourd’hui d’un regain de notoriété, 
grâce à ses derniers maxis parus sur Metrohm Records, son propre label, il est un producteur expérimenté qui gravite discrètement dans la sphère électronique depuis trois décennies. Originaire de Lille, Steve Destailleur commence à mixer dès la fin des années 1980. 

Il est alors un des DJ pionniers, mixant électro funk, acid house, techno, dans des clubs et des soirées du Nord de la France et de Belgique. Il commence à réaliser ses propres productions dans la foulée et publie un premier maxi en 1994 sur le label lillois Peek-A Boo Records. 

Durant tout son parcours, le producteur a sorti une vingtaine de maxis, sous plusieurs identités : 
Kosmik Nation, Brain Attack, Steve & Steff, OSC, Dr Noise, Steve D et Tevatron. 
Plusieurs de ses morceaux ont été particulièrement remarqués comme « Drumscape EP » sur Re-load Records, « Afro Beatnik » sur Intec Records (le label de Carl Cox), « Red Fever » et « Before Leaving » sur Recycled Loops (le label d’Umek et Valentino Kanzyani). D’autres morceaux signés Steve D / Tevatron sont parus sur les labels Turbo (Subjective) ou Eskimo Recordings (sur ce dernier, il s’agit du morceau « Monochromatik » sélectionné par Ivan Smagghe pour sa compilation Death Disco). Le DJ nordiste joue alors dans des clubs de référence (Rex Club, Fuse) et dans des événements importants (I Love Techno, Kozzmozz). 

Après une pause dans les années 2000, Tevatron s’est remis à produire ces dernières années par passion pour cette techno de Detroit qui a toujours fait vibrer son cœur. Ses productions paraissent essentiellement sur le label Metrohm Records qu’il a lancé en 2015. Ses compositions actuelles sont à la fois sombres et mélancoliques, avec des mélodies synthétiques chaleureuses et hypnotiques. A l’image de ses derniers maxis : « My Origins » (2016) et « My Origins, part II » (2018). Un autre EP arrive bientôt sur le label belge Elypsia Records, avant que Tevatron continue de décliner le concept « My Origins » sur deux nouveaux maxis.

Metrohm Records se positionne comme un phare de l'innovation dans le paysage mondial de la musique électronique. Fondé par Tevatron, un artiste visionnaire avec une profonde compréhension des rythmes complexes et des textures sonores, ce label français s'engage à propulser la techno et ses sous-genres dans de nouvelles dimensions.

Originally from South Korea, Red Pig Flower traveled through Japan, the UK, Italy and Belgium before finally settling in Berlin. She has honed her skill and knowledge of igniting dance floors while crafting intricate, emotive, and mind-bending electronic compositions.
