"Dorian Gray" is a complex progressive metal song coming straight from hell. Inspired by Oscar Wilde's novel "The Picture of Dorian Gray", we tell a story about hedonism digging right into the human abyss. This song is as violent and witty like Dorian Gray in this book. Be prepared for brutal shredding, heavy vocals and temper changes telling the life of a tormented soul. I couldn't resist drawing a portrait of how I imagine Dorian Gray. I am happy that we turned our individual strengths into something big. How would this song sound without Chad's heavy drum grooves, Against The Tempest's passion for technical metal and ambient leads, I AM MEADOWS' powerful and versatile voice and my lyrics on epic chord progressions? Prepare for headbanging, cause this "Dorian Gray" is gonna be heavy and dark.

On that day, three people who truly loved YMO gathered for a memorial service and drank heavily. On the way there, I lost the charger for my AirPods Pro somewhere. On the way back, I coincidentally ran into a politician I knew at the station who had just finished a street speech, and exchanged greetings. It was a strange day, with a mix of joy, frustration, and indescribable feelings.

Released in 1984 as the lead single from their album "Ocean Rain," the song has since become one of the band's most beloved and iconic tracks. With its ethereal atmosphere and poetic lyrics, "Killing Moon" captures Echo and the Bunnymen's sound and left an indelible mark on the music landscape

Formed in Liverpool, England, in 1978, Echo and the Bunnymen quickly rose to prominence in the post-punk era with their unique blend of dark, introspective lyrics and melodic rock. The band was founded by Ian McCulloch (vocals), Will Sergeant (guitar), and Les Pattinson (bass), and were later joined by Pete de Freitas (drums). Their music drew inspiration from a variety of sources, including The Velvet Underground, David Bowie, and The Doors. Their sound is simultaneously moody and anthemic

Legend has it that their drummer, Pete de Freitas, named their drum machine "Echo" because he believed it would confuse their rivals. The idea was that whenever other bands would talk about Echo and the Bunnymen, they wouldn't know whether it referred to the band as a whole or just their drum machine. The song should be played to a drum machine for 1980s authenticity, 124 bpm

"Killing Moon" gained renewed attention in popular culture when it was prominently featured in the 2001 cult film "Donnie Darko." The song plays during a crucial sequence in the movie, adding a sense of mystery and intensity to the scene. Its inclusion in the film introduced a new generation to Echo and the Bunnymen and solidified "Killing Moon" as a timeless classic

Seems to be an endless repeated theme for me ~ running away to the countryside, and in recent years this has been the Australian wilderness, from the deep south to the far north.

Dedicated to, and featuring Gary Reeves (aka Mountain Songs) on drums and cymbals (remixed) at the start. Banjo, lap slide guitar (acting as bass), beats and vox by myself. This song is for Gary, who has been a wonderful musical compadre for many of us around the world, via this  Soundcloud Village.

Respect and acknowledgement to the Traditional Owners of the lands, waters and skies in this video, both in Australia and New Zealand. Particular thanks to the Yolgnu people of Gapuwiyak who made me feel so welcome during my short visit to Arnhem Land last year.
