@eli-verveine is a musical chameleon who can do it all from banging peak time sets to pensive warm-ups via weird and wonderful hour hours sessions. She has proven that over the years in many of the scene's most cultured clubs whether playing solo, B2B as Among Trees with Andrey Pushkarev or live with Gwenan as Gin & Tonic. On top of all this, she has a well-formed discography that delves further into her versatile sounds.

This week's mix reflects her musical malleability as she draws on plenty of diverse tempos and textures to craft a lively trip. There are moments of blissful deepness next to more nuanced rhythms, futuristic bass explorations and cosmic electro sojourns that keep things moving at pace, but always with great control and expert selections.

Mutual Mix #34 is by the local hero Ørjan Sletner a.k.a. Goggen Grøftefyll a.k.a. @kompressorkanonen – one of Norway's absolute best DJ's and biggest collectors of electronic music. 

Here's some words about the mix from the man himself:

"This mix is a reminiscence about the bar/music venue/hangout spot Oslovelo, where I played several times over the years before it closed down permanently in October 2024. The gig that turned out to be my last one there was a little over a month before they unexpectedly went out of business. When I came home after that gig I thought I’d make a mix with some of the records in my bag, as I thought they worked pretty well together. So I put them in a pile and planned to record the mix pretty soon thereafter. It only took six months… By the time I finally got round to do it, some records had been taken out of the pile, and others had been added. So it’s not a faithful reconstruction of what I played that night. But there was always a certain randomness to DJing at Velo anyway, you could play whatever you wanted, so I think this works just as well. What it sounds like? I guess you could call it house and deep house and ambient techno and quirky techno and dub techno and Detroit techno and a little bit of rave. I never claimed to be a purist.
