Argentinian artist Lagartijeando's ground breaking LP "La Tercera Vision" gets the remix treatment featuring some of the brightest up and coming producers from Latin America and beyond. Wonderwheel family member Gitkin delivers a piece of psych'd out guitar centered dub on "Onda", while label founder Nickodemus takes "La Cumbia de la Muerte" into hip-hop territory with all the Cumbia trimmings riding the beat. Tonga Conga (aka 1/2 of Sotomayor) delivers a killer analog Afrobeat remix of "Sideral Cumbia" with a drumbreak that could have come from Tony Allen, while Joaquin Cornejo goes into deep, ambient house territory with hints of the original Arabic vibe on "Mano de Fatima". More deep & dancefloor remixes from Barzo, Yemanjo, J.Pool and Palka & Melina on deck. A lovely listen front to back. 

Lagartijeando: Raised on rhythms of the Argentinian backwoods, Matias Zundel dips his dance tracks in country folk gold where chacareras, huaynos, and vidalas two step with jungle and electronica. Shaman chantand charango guitar loops are the backbone of Lagartijeando’s signature style. Native voices are the backbeat to percussion and bass tracks with organ melodies combining cumbia and psychedelic noise. Songs give deference to ritual and maintain respect for tradition while pushing the old into a cosmic space future. Step onto the Lagartijeando dance floor – a desert covered in a storm of stars.

From our Chilean born, Montréal based @ElExtravagante plus the beautiful voice of Ra*faelle from Quebec we present you ¨Aguas del Cisne¨ (Waters of the Swan). This song was born from a trip to the southern end of the planet, with me recording a smooth line of glacier water that fell to the floor of an ancient cave, sound that sounds in this song, recorded in Torres del Paine, at the Chilean Patagonia.

This is the water where the swans of Patagonia live and represents the deep beauty and purity of this animal (and all animals), from that remote and pristine space, added to Ra*faelle's, a very special person with a unique voice and artistic proposal and her melody, in an  “abstract” language that represents the singing of swans and that deep feminine beauty that communicates without words, but with the pure language of Universal beauty combining Nature, surrealism and poetry in the shape of a song.

Esta canción nace de un viaje al extremo sur del planeta, conmigo grabando una suave línea de agua de glaciar que caía al suelo de una antigua cueva, sonido que suena en esta canción, grabado en Torres del Paine, la Patagonia Chilena.

Esta es el agua donde viven los cisnes de Patagonia y representa la profunda belleza y pureza de este animal (y todos los animales), desde ese espacio remoto y prístino, sumado a la melodía de Ra*faelle una persona muy especial con una voz y propuesta artística única, en un lenguaje ¨abstracto¨ que representa el canto de los cisnes y esa profunda belleza femenina que comunica sin palabras, sino con el lenguaje puro de la belleza Universal, combinando Naturaleza, surrealismo y poesía en la forma de una canción.

This collection has been gathered by David Madrid, our Colombian member of the family and the co-owner of Skunk TLV, the well-known Downtempo & Organic House party production from Tel Aviv.
