a few days ago i had a bizarre dream depicting a weird route confrontation between kris and the player on the shore of a beach. 
for some reason the player controlled an identical kris during the battle. like they both looked the exact same. when i woke up i immediately thought"thats stupid" and thats why the thumbnail looks like that.
the narration was somewhat feverish and excitable, waiting with bated breath for kris to die. kris didnt say a word the entire battle and it seemed to end rather quick. i recall the music being extremely strange, but nothing about the music itself for some reason.

so i took it as an excuse to try and emulate the style of owch, an amazing game developer whose game 10S FOREVER comes with a hypnotic soundtrack. here's her bandcamp -> https://owch.bandcamp.com/album/10s-forever

this song from kris's piano cutscene always perplexed me. out of every track it's the only one that doesn't have an obvious or at least implied origin; sevenfour references the time signature, waitingroom is just what a green room is, and every other song can be tangibly linked to another concept, whether it's the prophecy or lancer. this song? just called shop, and there isn't a single recognizable melody. unless im stupid and there is idfk.

anyways i thought about how this could be a theme for the dark world in asgore's flower shop since it's the only shop personally significant to kris that isn't the green room which is already accounted for. 
it's not mixed very well i dont do orchestral stuff ever. toodles

I originally wasn't as in tune with what was going on generally with 17BUCKS earlier in development, so when I alongside a couple of others were approached with remaking a song more aligned with the creator's vision for the update, I did my best to research, study the song, and make sure at least the essence of the song was somewhat similar. It became a place to represent the things I like alongside Turnip as a character along with Froad. I sampled my favorite musicians and said progressions. I'm not great at Mario stuff.

I never feel great about replacing songs in general, but I cannot deny that I absolutely loved working on it. I was very much inspired by the remix fluffyhairs made and decided to utilize it. They've been an inspiration for me for a long time, but nobody say a word.
