'How Much Can You Take?' by Scotland's The Obsessed is proper old skool hard techno. Driving kicks, buzz saw synths that slice through any soundsystem and a vocal hook that doesn't make you cringe for the next week after you appear on Instagram raving to it.

The closing track of Perc's sets since he received the demo from The Obsessed late last year, now 'How Much Can You Take?' is ready to be unleashed as the third in Perc Trax's renowned one track series, following releases from Steve Redhead and Luciano Esse.

Marcal returns to Dustin Zahn’s Enemy Records once again with 5 new signature style tracks. The EP demonstrates further refinement of Marcal’s shamanic tribal grooves that everybody knows and loves, along with an artistic progression towards weirder and deeper sonic territory.

The vinyl starts off with “Swindle,” a powerful and unstoppable peak time track emphasizing groove and tension above all else. “Two Become One” completes the A side with a slightly more mellow and delicate vibe that will ‘lock in’ just about any dance floor.

The B side kicks off with “Blessing,” a track comprised of rolling mysticism and unrelenting rhythms. It’s classic Marcal in top form. The vinyl ends with what is possibly Marcal’s strangest and deepest track yet, “Perpetuity Wing.” The track invites listeners into a lucid dream state via ethereal vocals and hypnotizing percussive work.

As a digital bonus, “Spellbind” rounds out the EP with hypnotizing vocal work and steady late-night grooves. Staring into the void feels less daunting with tracks like Two Become One, Perpetuity Wing, and Spellbind.

Porto-based Brazilian artist Marcal pushes on from a high-impact debut on Donato Dozzy and Neel’s Spazio Nero label with his third outing on Enemy Records. Turning in a five-track package on Dustin Zahn’s Berlin-based techno imprint, a new rhythmic confidence underpins his EP Enchant & Deceive. Fans of his, which includes DVS1, Truncate, Rødhåd and Marcel Dettmann, should note his sharpened percussive instincts.

Relocating to Porto from Goiânia in 2024, he’s been releasing on prominent labels since 2020, with Rekids Special Projects and Token Records also signing his cuts. 

Digital bonus ‘Spellbind, combines his signature swing with a robotic, phaser-driven vocal texture, injecting an uplifting, percussive energy.
