Идея микса родилась спонтанно, как раз во время одной пляжной вечеринки. Стоял себе играл, что то типа Nora En Pure бассейн все дела, и тут вдруг резко в голову пришла мысль, изменить формат музыки.. да я понимаю, что это скорее не в тренде, но я рискнул и это было что то! Музыка пошла на ура! Так вот о чем я, все наши пляжные диджеи до ужаса одинаковые, играют одно и тоже! такое впечатление, что на всех наших пляжах играет одно и тоже радио, а диджеи, так просто для антуража. Я это понимал еще в далеком 2005 году, когда в Киеве появился первый бич клаб, Opium Beach Club. Именно в том году я дебютировал на пляже и что вы думаете? я тогда играл именно такую музыку, как в этом миксе! тогда не было попсо хауса, нудиско и прочей приторной музыки. Именно в том году я выпустил свой первый Summer Steps, который был издан специально для пляжных мероприятий. И как же сейчас приятно заново осознавать, что именно эта музыка лета, настоящая пляжная музыка! Мы просто не в то время родились, но если сдвинуть музыкальную моду на лет так 15-20, то сейчас на пляжах играли б именно такую музыку. И как же я все таки рад что я застал эту музыку, а главное ее можно и дальше играть, но дадут ли?) и это было б замечательно!

Music For Dreams are proud to announce that a new album is underway from the electronic pop-ensemble Hess Is More. The first track from the project, titled

Led by Danish drummer and composer Mikkel Hess, the ensemble has released 12 albums since 2003, donning a shifting constellation of musicians from both sides of the Atlantic. Hess Is More’s material combines styles of electronic music, jazz, krautrock and afrobeat in a pop-oriented, melodically rich sound.

The act is also known for its work across mediums, collaborating with visual artists, designers and filmmakers, recently producing the highly acclaimed series of dramatized concerts slash art installations known as Apollonian Circles.

The forthcoming album, titled CÆKE, bridges back to Hess Is More’s early albums, with the act scaled back down to a solo operation of Mikkel Hess writing, producing and performing most of the music himself. The result is a more minimalistic and personal sound than the sprawling material of later ensemble-projects.

The first single, titled ‘You And Me And Them’, is a gentle, spacious pop composition built around piano, drum machine and vocals, all performed by Mikkel Hess. A pristine and wistful mood that blooms and deepens through soft, twirling melodics.

The song was written by Mikkel Hess his wife Nira Kehar in their countryside home. The serene mood of the track reflects this setting, capturing the intimacy of time spent by the piano. In Mikkel’s own words, “the song is a close-up view of life as it unfolds twenty years after the first album came out, and a reaching out to those who might be listening from the beyond.”

The album is scheduled for release in late 2024 on Music For Dreams.
