Melodic techno aficionado and BlueCube label owner, Nuria Ghia joins Kuukou bringing in her decades-long experience and enthusiasm in the electronic music scene.
Sphere attests to Nuria’s continent-crossing influences, with a brooding, dark yet playful sound that would be at home both in a German techno night club and an Iberian dancefloor. Hard techno stalwart Fernanda Martins remixes the title track adding tension and pluck, creating a suspense-heavy arrangement. Second original Black Rain showcases dub techno with a twist: ample pressure is built through consonating pads and loops and stretched out all throughout its full 6 minute-length.

NANCY Live has been carving out her high-octane techno sound via years of acid-soaked live sets at venues such as Warehouse Project in Manchester and Sankeys in Ibiza.  Based in Dublin, NANCY aka Lauren Rusowicz delivers an electrifying two track single for Dense & Pika’s Kneaded Pains label.

Lead track ‘Holy Grail’ is a rollicking blast of trance-tinged techno, set to a frenetic BPM and replete with buoyant stabs and pummelling percussion.  On ‘3 By 3’, gnarly acid tones swell out of driving drums and furious snare rolls, offering up another industrious production.

Recent remixes for Marco Faraone, and releases on HE.SHE.THEY, Apex Faction and We Are The Brave, are singling out NANCY Live as an exciting prospect in the ever expanding techno landscape.

KUSP joins Rekids Special Projects with the rumbling ‘Freedom Of Fear EP’ this January.

The KUSP project, formed of two friends rekindling their love for electronic music, has seen the duo release on the likes of Suara, We Are The Brave, and Odd Recordings since 2018, picking up heavy support from the likes of Alan Fitzpatrick, Charlotte De Witte, Adam Beyer, and of course Radio Slave along the way.

Across ‘Freedom of Fear’, KUSP display their knack for crafting high intensity, uncompromising techno, perfectly fitting the criteria for the heavier Rekids sister label. From the evil-sounding ‘Circulus’ through to the grinding textures of ‘Xerox’, the duo never strays from the tried and test 4/4 across the five tracks, amassing a crushing array of dancefloor weaponry on a vital label breathing fresh ideas into the world of techno.
