The Reverb Conspiracy Volume II brings together 16 of Europe’s most interesting emerging psych bands in a scene that is quickly gathering momentum around the world.

FUZZ CLUB

Fuzz Club is an independent record label, online store and production company that focuses on experimental rock and roll, influenced by shoegaze, electronica, noise, garage, blues, folk and psychedelia.
Based in East London, Fuzz Club has gained a reputation for surfacing the best emerging talent from Europe and beyond, and releasing them on high end, limited edition vinyl pressings, alongside a roster of the best known names in the underground scene including Anton Newcombe, Goat, Alan Vega, The Black Angels, Dead Skeletons, A Place to Bury Strangers, The Telescopes, Sonic Jesus and The Underground Youth.
Established in rural Norway during the 24 hour darkness of the Arctic winter, Fuzz Club entered the scene in 2012 with their compilation The Reverb Conspiracy – made in collaboration with Austin Psych Fest – a now annual release capturing the essence of the underground scene as it is today.
Today Fuzz Club has around 20 artists and over 40 releases.

The psychedelic garage sound of Strange Hands was born in 2008 in Bordeaux, France. Their first 7" "Dead Frozen Deer" was released by the famous Netherland garage record label A Fistful Of Records (Movie Star Junkies, Sex Beet, Black Time) in April 2010. The band has been on two big tours in Europe (France, Italy, Hungary, Germany, Netherlands, Poland, Belgium...) during 2011/2012 and will tour Europe again in July 2012.

Elevated Transmissions Vol. 1

Winningly describing themselves as “evil shoegaze boogie woogie”, THE JANITORS are progenitors of their own brand of “stökpsych”. Based in Stockholm and signed to excellent UK psych label Cardinal Fuzz Records and danish bad Afro Records, THE JANITORS appear as an XL proportioned five-piece live. Ever fond of describing their own sound, the band pinpoint their output as “noise, monotony and pop songs”. Drawing inspiration from Spacemen 3, Loop and The Brian Jonestown Massacre, the band are reminiscent of their Scandinavian contemporaries Dead Skeletons in their propulsive, longform psych bliss-outs.

The band’s debut full-length ‘Drone Head’ – which features group touchstone, the colossal 12 minute blow out ‘A-Bow’ – was issued to huge praise in June 2013. DrugPunk Blogspot accurately summed up the disc (and the band as a whole) as “slow-burn scuzz rock with a vengeance”.
