Calma Tensa, DJ and Producer from Madrid based in Menorca, in his sessions we can find a diverse variety of styles, although their influences from Synth-wave, Acid-House and even EBM are clearly recognizable in them, always loaded with powerful basses and enveloping atmospheres.

Home of respected artists, such as Johannes Klingebiel (SXDNS207), Donald Dust, and Vanity Project, the interesting London-based imprint Claptrap opens its doors now for the debut release of DJ Goodboy, a young and promising German selector, producer and multi-instrumentalist who showcases his production capabilities via three well-constructed originals on his “KOKO NI KITE” EP. On the remix duty, a spot-on interpretation made with love by aforementioned Vanity Project, the label boss himself, by the way.

With previous appearances on Zone Focus, Paradiso, Eclectics, and of course Claptrap, VP brought the original to his turf, opened his toolbox of references, and came up with a more House-ish take for GB’s wobbly “Texas Queen”. Acid lines, vocal hooks, percussive elements, and trippy FXs were craftily assembled to bring to life a lively and vibrant version of an already solid cut.

After such a nice first release, we’ll be looking forward to checking the future endeavours of mischievous and misbehaved DJ Goodboy.

Once in a while we do a premiere with music we enjoy. This time we have The Evil PLans Records with BTCOP with the EP Just A Disco
To keep it simple it´s just a wonderful tribute to the late grate Andrew Weatherall.
Lights On A Hill Mix is a slow wonky tune that we would enjoy on an afterparty late sunday afternoon. The Justin Robertson remix is track that you need to listen to on a proper soundsystem, it´s dubby with a sub bass that kills! Pass me that spliff please!

BTCOP - Just A Disco (Justin Robertson's Deadstock  33s Remix)

DJ, producer brought up with Kill The DJ and Andrew Weatherall sauce during his adolescence, he cultivates an almost unhealthy taste for the electronic sounds of the 70's and 80's, from italo disco to EBM, from New Beats to Krautrock.
Crazy synths, racy rhythms, jerky oscillations, a touch of cynicism still there but
never inside.

He signed 2 EPs with NEIN Records in 2016 for 2 EPs, then went on to remix for Pardon Moi and Monoblok & Plsktr alongside Curses at Play Pal Music
He then joined the Dogs & Vultures label in Madrid, signing several remixes, an original EP and edits by Fad Gagdet and Twice a Man.
In 2019, he created the Crowhunt Records label with Alda where he collaborated with Pardon Moi / FLXXX / Jump Seat / Inhalt / Nabta and Corporal

Froid Dub continues to explore its synth-lined slowed down digi-dub cave flooded with waves of echoes and acid bleeps. Bass lines and flanged delays sail over deep waters, seemingly barely disturbed by the minimal pump of the synth-wave vibe.
