Anomaly Detection 004 - Safari Stanga

For our fourth entry, I am delighted to feature Utrecht-based Safari Stanga. With a combined 11 years of experience in DJing and producing, he, by all accounts, knows his way around the decks. His musical vision can be summarized by his own quote: “Listening to music should not always have to be a serious endeavor, and I hope to bring some of that excitement and joy to all who listen in!” With this, it is clear that he aims to keep you entertained and focused throughout all his mixes.

Safari has crafted his innovative and irreverent style, inspired by classical music, hip-hop, Brazilian funk, video games and movies soundtracks. He always keeps his audience engaged by creating an energetic experience through jamming with multiple decks and blending rhythmic techno, electro, and house melodies. In this mix, you can expect a range of sounds, from snappy breaks to mechanical kicks combined with bright melodies and dark percussions.

When I saw Safari DJing, his recklessness and simultaneous control of multiple decks and mash-ups on the fly inspired me to start incorporating a third deck and samples into my DJ routines. It is clear that DJing is not only his hobby but a real passion that will soon go beyond that.

Grosse révélation de ces dernières années, il distille une techno dont lui seul semble avoir le secret, à la fois hard, groovy et sexy déclenchant instantanément les pas de danse.

Ce qui le distingue des autres DJs, c’est sa capacité à lire la foule et à adapter son set à la volée.

Aujourd’hui, avec plusieurs années d’expérience à son actif, Bours? est devenu une figure respectée de la communauté des musiques électroniques. Ses sets sont toujours très attendus et ses productions continuent de repousser les limites du genre.

A relentless force behind the decks Berlin-based duo Alvaro and Domenik aka ‘Disguised’ bring a raw, driving energy shaped by their love for early 2000s techno. As residents of HEISSS and familiar faces at RSO and Tresor, their sets balance velocity with emotion, layering percussive pressure with flickers of melody and hypnotic depth.

Beyond the booth, their vision expands through INHERIT, their own imprint launched in 2020 as a platform for forward-thinking techno and a space to nurture both their sound and that of like-minded artists.

Their sound is tightly interwoven with their visual language; intense, rhythmic, and immersive. From producing their own music videos to curating the aesthetic world around each release, Disguised approach techno as a full-spectrum art form, where every detail feeds the narrative.
