This month I welcomed dedicated DeepDownDirty Record Label owner Maya Stone to join me at the Afro*disiac Live studio in B'mouth to celebrate the labels' incredible past, present+forthoming house+techno releases, created by the talented+humble artists on its roster.

With myself on spin duty, we kicked off with the smoother+deeper DDD sounds incl several promo's. We were then treated to a lovely in-depth interview with inspirational Maya, learning about the roots of DDD+lots of the labels' upcoming collab projects. Stratosphere is the newest sample pack from the Mind Flux nerds. It is an array of melodic techno loops which is overflowing with soaring leads, emotive bass lines and warm analogue drums. Each of these loops is sculpted to give you the producer an instance point of attack when using the pack. You can either use the loop as the focal point to your track or slice, manipulated and mash up the sound to work truly for you, the options are endless.

The Mind Flux team have used a huge range of top gear to make the pack, including the Neve 8816, Moog Voyager, Minitaur, Roland sh101, Juno6, Access Virus and many more toys.

Stratosphere (melodic techno) has been inspired by artist and labels like Tale of Us, Stephan Bodzin, Recondite, Maceo Plex, Fango, Agents Of Time, After life, Fideles and many more.

The guest mix in the second hour is from Wolfram Drescher who is from Wuppertal in Germany. He began his DJ career in 1993 as a resident for Happyhouse in Wuppertal and Planet Club in Bochum,. In 2013 he moved to Croatia playing at many Festivals and clubs there. On returning to Germany he founded Yellow Rabbit Records and he is Resident DJ at Nacht Terasse in Bochum.
