Autumn in Rotterdam

Part of the Outcast Torino crew, Alex Dima honed his craft within the parties that this collective and their extended family have been throwing for some time. As a result of these long sessions Alex has now burst out of his native scene and onto the world circuit. Having already traversed many of Europes must attend parties and venues, he has now made the move to set up shop in Amsterdam where maintains his regular appearances at the finest parties. As well as his touring schedule bursting at the seams, his discography is also in a state of bloom. With his co-ran imprint Coordinate Records gathering pace, Alex peppers this with solo efforts of his own with the future retro four-tracker “Metamorphosis” EP on LAMAIA coming up soon.

Turning our attention back to turntables and Alex has conjured up a near 2 hour trip for our InSession series. With the soundscape taking shape across the full run time of his mix, there are more than a few twists and turns to be found along the way as the full spectrum of his musical reach continues to unfold. From the percussive beginnings, Alex soon shifts through the gears which stops off at synth heavy house, bass focused electro, vintage breaks, and pretty much everything in between. If this mix doesn't make you want to leap out your seat and into the nearest weekend long rave…listen again.

The second release on GRACE comes courtesy of @keplrr. Following Katiusha’s EP in spring, ‘False Awakening’ extends the label’s vision for mind-blurring techno flavours. 

The UK artist showcased his ear for unusual ceremonial techno on his recent ‘Plumes’ record for Midgar. On GRACE002, Keplrr goes deeper into that style. What’s now becoming his signature psychedelic elegance unfurls over two 8-minute journeys, run through with hallucinatory ebbs and flows.

"First of all thank you again for the invite, I’m super happy to be on italorator! It’s probably my favourite mix series at the moment.

Initially I tried to exclusively pick tacks that hadn't been featured on italorator before but I certainly missed some. In the end I went for a selection that best reflects my personal taste and appreciation for the genre, including some of my all time favorites and new found gems. Besides Italo I ventured into adjacent genres like early acid house and new beat but kept the overall vibe seductive and sleazy, just how I like it. I have been waiting for a chance to open a set with Einzelhaft by Falco (from one of the best albums ever made, no doubt) and this seemed like a worthy occasion."
