Janzi started its music journey on the 27th/07/09 after James a talented musician developed up an idea and shared it with a fellow musician and a friend Abraham Ssekasi to start up a project that could favor cultural development through music. The ambition to unite cultures of different regions in the world through combining music ethnics was greatly looked upon
as it was a sign of creating international relationship between nations. The band aims at excellency there by creating it’s self room for recognition in the music industry both international and local levels. Janzi is a standing figure in cultural development through
fusion of music instruments and style from different parts of the world thus contributing to the element of preserving culture. Through their concept as young musicians the major goal here is rearranging most of the already found traditional music from late composers into
new harmonic rhythms with ideas from different cultures thus pushing it forward to the present audience for recognition. The band has really established a very clear element of not forgetting about the past music projects but ever keeping it alive coz it’s so much valuable in the music industry. Most of their work refreshes the viewers how the African traditional society in the past decades used to live musically. Many folk stories have been
rebranded with music hypothesis in that to keep all traditional theatrical dreams moving from the past to the present generations. With the ideology, “THE WORLD TO SPEAK THE SAME LANGUAGE, MUSIC”.
