This week, techno comes from near Cologne, one of the hotspots for underground techno in the west of Germany. We listened to Hypnotized for a good year now and knew from the start of the project that we had to ask him for a collaboration. 🥰 

We are in love with his hard and driving basslines and extremely rhythm focused sound. We thank him for his time and hope to hear more madness from him and the Tagesraver Crew, which you should definitely check out since they run one of the most exciting podcasts at the moment.

Twenty-five years after its release, High Frequency's cult EP "4 Nuts" (EPS 001) is celebrated with this exceptional remix album.

To mark the return of Ellipsis Records, we entrusted the three original tracks ("Rumble", "Rumpus", and "Hard At Work") to a selection of legends and emerging talents from the techno scene.

From the raw power of D.A.V.E. The Drummer to the hypnosis of Maxx Rossi, through the modern vision of Electric Rescue or the acid touch of Ganez The Terrible, each artist has appropriated High Frequency's DNA to deliver 12 new explosive interpretations. Let yourself be carried away by the hard and industrial techno sound of the 1993 born Berliner "JAPAU”. His style is characterised by driving and pushing baselines but also hard kicks that shape his unique industrial sound. You can expect an audiophile listening pleasure in the dB limit range!

JAPAUs passion for techno flared up in 2013 when he accidentally ended up at a techno party in Berlin's famous "Arena Club". He never intended to start making music himself, he was just a passionate listener. 
But then one day in 2019, a friend brought over a controller, and he gave it a try.

From that moment on, he was completely hooked.

Since 2025, he has also started producing tracks to further shape the style he wants to pursue.
