Friend of mine commented on my last short instragram video that the synth "riff" I made sounded a bit like Giana sisters. That gave me the idea for this one.

This is also my first take on "live" playing my analogue synths with addition of drum sequencer and also vst instrument from my computer. I only made some edits to the drums and a bit balancing and eq but other than that, this is unedited.

Song I made to a poem called "A poem with K" written by my friend Katri. I got really inspired by this text. It's quite hard to translate this or explain what this text made me feel. Let's just say that this hit me quite deep.

So I sing in this choir called Kipinät and recently our conductor asked me if I could make some intro music to our christmas consert. She didn't give me any specifics conserning this piece of music and only gave a hint that I could use the first song of our set as an inspiration to make something that sets the mood.

So this is the end result. Personally I'm very pleased how this turned out. I find similarities to one of my favourite bands of all time - Sigur Rós - and that made me give this piece an islandic name which means "Winter magic".

This began from doodling with synth sounds in my computer but then it advanced into a song about my recent feelings which I'm quite happy about.  For me this clash of different genres in this song symbolizes the feeling of serenity one can have in the midst of chaos around you.
I'm not much of a writer when it comes to lyrics but you gotta start somewhere!

In times when inspiration for my own songs is low, it's a good time to make a cover. I just recently heard this song for the first time and I thought it is very beautiful and bittersweet so I wanted to make cover out of it. Also please go and check out Tim Minchin if you havent already. He's an awesome musician!

Music loving amateur musician who loves to sing, play guitar, keyboard and ukulele and have fun while doing so. Occasionally I get involved in some synthesized music with nice beats. I' m always interested to try out new instruments and new ways to use them. I make my own music but I also do some chosen covers.
