Jone Larrañaga aka Jara, electronic music DJ, was born in 1993 in País Vasco and now is settled in Madrid. 
At the age of 8 she began her musical studies with piano lessons while listening music bands such as Depeche Mode, U2, Moby, Underworld… He fell in love with their melodies, vocals and enveloping sound. That is when she discovered her passion for electronic music.
When she moved to Madrid, she started attending her first electronic music events and getting to know new genres, such as progressive house, deep house, melodic techno. Hernan Cattaneo, unknown for her until that time, became her favorite artist inside music industry. She travelled around Europe to see him play.
When she turned 25, she received a controller as a gift setting a start point for his passion for sharing music. During the pandemic she opened her Soundcloud account and created “Confidence” where she mixes melancholic melodies with grooves that keep you on your feet. Since the beginning “Confidence” has received a lot of support and listeners from around the glove.
Jara has played in local parties and is very enthusiastic for what future holds for her ✨

In 2022, she emerged as a DJ in the Madrid electronic scene after enjoying music as a fan for several years. With a diverse and refined taste, Jara curates sets featuring progressive and organic house, as well as exploring genres like melodic techno and indie dance. In her promising career, she has shared the stage with artists such as Kamilo Sanclemente and D-Formation, performing in venues like Agua Bendita, Hangar48, Specka, Cadavra Club, and Starving.

Jone Larrañaga, aka Jara, nació en Elgoibar en 1993 y actualmente reside en Madrid. Desde pequeña ha estado muy vinculada a la música: tocaba el piano y gracias a sus aitas empezó a descubrir bandas y grupos de música disco, rock y pop con influencia electrónica.

Su paso por las cabinas ha sido especialmente intenso desde 2022, gracias a un sonido fino, contundente y lleno de vocales y melodías. Además, su trabajo como selectora musical le ha llevado a compartir cartel con artistas de la talla de D-Formation o Kamilo Sanclemente.

Su sonido está enfocado en el progressive house aunque le encanta descubrir productores de otros géneros como el deep house, organic house, melodic techno, indie dance. La música es su pasión y en cada set se encarga de transmitirla a toda la pista.

This is Jara and I'm an electronic music DJ from Spain.
