This song is a reflection of many of the fond memories I have from growing up. I've been through a lot of difficult challenges in my life and many of the songs I write reflect that. This time, I wanted to write something that was more light-hearted. The style is heavily influenced by 80's soft rock that I listened to growing up. I was born in 1994 so I often felt I barely missed my claim to being an 80's baby. My dad listened to tons of 80's music when I was growing up so it is only natural that memories of my childhood are connected to it. The album cover should be self-explanatory after listening to the lyrics.

I grew up listening to many classic rock bands with Bon Jovi being one of my favorites. As a Christian, I thought it would be interesting to rework their massive hit, Livin’ on a Prayer, as a worship song. The production in this version I created is very minimal, to give it almost a live sound, like something you would hear in a church setting. For me, it brought new life and depth to the lyrics which most people know by heart from the popularity of the song. I hope you enjoy it!

This is one of the very first songs I wrote sometime ago. I wrote it in a time when I was really suffering with my mental health. I tried my best to capture my raw experiences during that time and how my belief in God gave me hope to endure all the pain I was going through.
